Description
Sara's Cottage is an immaculately presented detached, private, luxurious country cottage ideally located for visiting all parts of Cornwall including both the North and South coast beaches. The cottage is only 10 minutes drive from the cathedral city of Truro and within easy reach of the many gardens and attractions Cornwall has to offer.Features include luxury quality Egyptian cotton bedding, sumptuous towels, fluffy robes, log burner with plenty of logs for your stay, welcome pack full of local produce, spa quality toiletries, Denby tableware and glasses, kitchen essentials and an enclosed south facing private patio perfect for enjoying a late afternoon drink or alfresco dining.
Facilities include a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, Rangemaster cooker, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, a bathroom for each bedroom, guest information App with lots of pre- arrival information, full central heating, four smart TV's, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Bluetooth speaker, games, books and an external utility with washing machine and tumble dryer for your sole use.
Being all on one level with wide doorways this is an ideal holiday home for the less mobile as well as for families and couples. The cottage has three bathrooms, one of which is a roll-in wet room suitable for many guests with access needs including some wheelchair users. All three bedrooms have patio doors leading onto the rear garden which allow you to enjoy the many birds that visit the feeding stations in the garden. The heated garden room also allows enjoyment of the private south facing rear garden throughout the year. The cottage has an enclosed garden and is set in 50 acres of the owners’ land. You are welcome to use the fields leading from the cottage gate for dog exercising. There is also a small woodland path down to Carrine Common for additional areas to explore and enjoy wildlife.
The cottage is a short drive from three village pubs, the National Trust Gardens at Trelissick and the King Harry ferry leading to the Roseland peninsula. The coast to coast cycle trail at Bissoe is close by and The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are forty minutes drive away. St Ives, Padstow, St Michael's Mount and Lands End are also within a 30 - 40 minute driving distance. Alternatively, catch the train from Truro to St Ives for a beautiful scenic train ride or catch a boat and sail from Truro to Falmouth and St Mawes.

Paradise found at Sara’s Cottage
By Craig on 12-Jul-2026As soon as you approach the cottage along the driveway with its amazing flowers, hydrangeas and trees you know you are arriving at somewhere special. The cottage itself is absolutely immaculate and each room is amazing. Everything is of the best quality, from the bespoke beds, bath and wet room, open plan lounge / kitchen to the gardens with it’s outdoor seating. Every imaginable appliance is available and sitting in the garden with a glass of wine and snacks in an evening was an absolute joy. The surrounding fields have ‘Terry’s Trails’ cut through the open fields allowing easy access and a perfect area for strolling and dog walking.. The hosts Diane and Terry are always on hand and will answer any questions plus give advice on where to visit be it beaches, coastline walks, places of interest, pubs, restaurants or music venues.You can see the love and work they put in makes this Cottage unique and the best there is. We had a wonderful relaxing two weeks at the cottage and visiting all the surrounding areas. it was so amazing we have already booked for next year.
Another fantastic stay
By Col on 12-Jul-2026We’ve stayed at Sara’s Cottage several times in the past and knowing how well equipped and spotlessly clean it is, means that we travel down with no concerns whatsoever about what the cottage will be like. Diane and Terry keep the property in top condition and are always looking at new ways to improve and innovate. The equipment and furnishings are all excellent and fulfil all the needs you could have when away from home. The location is very tranquil, yet only about 1.5 miles from Truro itself. A perfect place to relax in or outside of the property and enjoy watching the wildlife in the garden. Being located near to Truro gives good access to the North or South coasts of the county. This is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in and we are already booked for a return visit next year. We can’t wait!

By Michael on 27-May-2026A wonderful cottage in a great location. We visited lots of our favourite gardens, North coast and the Lizard. Sara's cottage is really well equipped with everything we needed, a home from home. The garden is charming and we were entertained by the many birds feeding.
A beautiful cottage
By Anne on 24-Apr-2026We have just returned from a short stay at Sara's Cottage. Without doubt this is the most beautiul, clean and comfortable holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. It's extremely comfortable, bright and airy, with lovely views over the garden. Diane and Terry are excellent hosts and were very welcoming. The little touches such as freshly made scones for the cream tea and fresh flowers were the icing on the cake. We hope to return one day.
