Description

Kirkbeck is a 19th century traditional Lakeland family home. It adjoins one other and stands in a delightful enclosed garden. It is quietly situated close to the centre of the picturesque Lakeland village of Coniston, with local shops, great pubs and only a short level walk to the lake.

The property has many original features and has a spacious feel. Recent additions have sympathetically combined the old and modern to create a wonderful home with excellent facilities.

It is particularly well suited to mixed family groups being perfect for family anniversaries and birthday celebrations.

Kirkbeck has been our family house for the last 30 years. We’ve opened the doors to, what we believe, is the finest, friendliest, family-oriented self-catering let in the South Lakes area.

Coniston is the perfect, peaceful holiday retreat.

Coniston, nestling between Coniston Water and the Coniston Fells, owes its early prosperity to copper mining and slate quarrying.

Today, the village's proximity to dramatic landscapes has given rise to a thriving economy based on sightseeing, water sports, mountaineering, horse riding and the consumption of real ale!

Coniston, is a typical Lakeland village, close to one of Cumbria's most spectacular lakes, with the mountain 'The Old Man of Coniston', rising 2,635ft. ideal for both high and low fell walkers.

Coniston, has a selection of cafes and bars to suit all tastes in food & drink.

A great base for walking, fishing, water sports, bike riding, painting etc. It is also conveniently situated with Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and Hawkshead all within 30 minutes drive.
