Description
The Old Byre was converted from a barn adjoining our Grade II Listed farmhouse and sleeps up to four people (and up to two small-medium-sized and well behaved dogs). Fornside Farm is located in beautiful St. John's-in-the-Vale at the foot of the Helvellyn range, surrounded by dramatic Lakeland scenery. At the heart of the farm nestle four cosy self-catering eco holiday cottages, beautifully converted from traditional stone barns. The 17th Century buildings use 21st Century technology and are heated with an environmentally-friendly ground source heat pump system, partly powered by solar panels.Kitchen / Living room
Open plan living/dining room with fitted kitchen area including microwave and dishwasher. Underfloor heating, wood-burning stove, TV, DVD player and blu-tooth speaker.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms sharing 1 bathroom
Upstairs spacious master bedroom (with king-sized bed) and a twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin.
Outside
Delightful patio with table and chairs and BBQ in summer months. Private farm trail to explore and direct access from the farm to the fells.
Pets
We now welcome up to two well behaved small-medium-sized dogs in The Old Byre (and Swaledale Garth). Please ensure you will be able to comply with our terms if you’d like to bring dogs and be prepared to pay the £35 charge.
