A contemporary, chic two bedroom log cabin which comfortably sleeps 4, offering the ideal holiday accommodation for smaller families or couplesRainster is a comfortable and roomy single-story log cabin, with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with stunning views of the dramatic Peak District countryside.
Relish the outdoors and fresh air as you open the double doors onto the decking and enjoy a BBQ with a view!
With two generous sized bedrooms the cabin is ideal for smaller families or couples. All the beds are zip and link so we can make them up as
either superking doubles or singles according to your needs.
Unwind and soak in the luxurious whirlpool bath or enjoy an invigorating shower in the accessible wet room.
As night falls you'll discover what's so special about our farm hidden in the Derbyshire hills. The wide-open dark skies mean you can view the stars on a clear night.
Short Breaks
A full week or a short break, it's up to you how long you stay!
Short breaks are either 3 nights at the weekend from Friday to Monday or 4 nights midweek from Monday to Friday.

Extras
We want to make your life easy so we have a wide range of extras, from travel cots and highchairs to mountain bikes, BBQs and specialist accessible equipment. There's no need to overload the car as extra equipment is included in the price. Make sure you book items in advance to avoid disappointment.

Splendid! Fantastic time had by all!
By Jenny A on 01-Jun-2026We were a family group of fourteen plus one dog celebrating a special birthday. We chose Hoe Grange for the weekend because of its ethos of sustainability and accessibility. We enjoyed access to the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, especially the High Peak Trail. Our cabin accommodation was high quality and equipped with all we needed. The pygmy goats, the horses and the chickens added to the atmosphere. David, Felicity and Caroline were excellent hosts.
Fantastic experience for all
By Ann P on 01-Jul-2026When booking I was looking for somewhere that could cater for my elderly parents and provided the specialist equipment that they are used to using at home such as a riser recliner chair and riser beds, you have no idea how rare accommodation like this is. Hoe Grange provided it all. The setting was amazing and the lodge was immaculate, fully equipped for a self catering holiday and lovely furnishings. The rooms were arranged exactly as I requested. The welcome gifts as you arrive were great - freshly baked bread, homemade biscuits, butter, milk, even a bottle of chilled water. The onsite shop allowed us to get any extras that we needed, such as locally sourced sausages and ice cream. All in all a fantastic experience for all of us.
Beautiful location
By Maps80768 on 01-Aug-2026Such a lovely location and we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Clean and well appointed kitchen, with two large bathrooms. There’s a great circular walk from the accommodation, with Dovedale and Carsington water very close by so we were able to limit our carbon footprint a little. Highly recommended

Horse Holiday
By Anna W on 01-Apr-2026Had an amazing time at Hoe Grange this weekend. I went away with a group of friends and our horses. We stayed in the Rainster cabin which was beautiful and really spacious. The horses were given lovely stables with ample straw and hay and luscious grazing paddocks. Some fantastic home made goodies were a lovely touch on arrival. Such a beautiful place, amazing hacking routes and we had the best hosts. Thank you Felicity and David for a brilliant weekend, we’ll definitely be back.
