MardonMardon is one of three beautifully styled, well-equipped holiday cottages nestled within the stunning Clifford Barton Estate — a tranquil private nature reserve centred around a beautiful lake. Sleeping up to five guests across two bedrooms, Mardon is the perfect escape for families, couples and dog owners looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy some adventure or simply slow down and unwind.
There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained, whatever the weather. Challenge the family in the games room, borrow bikes from the shared bike pool and cycle along country lanes to the river, where you can enjoy a drink at the local pub or take a refreshing wild swim. Back at Clifford Barton you can relax in the off-grid, wood-fired hot tub, spend time birdwatching, or try some forest bathing on the woodland platform nestled amongst ancient woodland. For a peaceful start to the day, the lake platform is the perfect spot for an early-morning yoga session.
Lounge/dining area and kitchen downstairs with stable door out to the rear enclosed private fenced garden. Downstairs toilet and shower room. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with bath, one double bedroom and one triple bedroom (one single bed and one double bed). Both bedrooms have views out over Fingle Woods and the Teign Valley, Dartmoor. There is a mezzanine kids play area above the triple bedroom, with toys.

Enjoy woodland and countryside walks, spot wildlife, visit nearby beaches, head out on a mountain or road biking adventure, or simply settle in and enjoy some quality time together. 30% of the total hire fee is payable at the time of booking, the rest being due 6 weeks before the stay. There is a £100 returnable damages deposit per stay.
