Description
The Bunny Barn is a beautiful converted medieval barn located in the pretty hamlet of Combefishacre.The open plan accommodation sleeps 2 (+ 2 children) a cot, high chair and stair gate can be provided upon request.
Dogs are welcomed free of charge. The front garden is enclosed and we have a lovely paddock of nearly an acre where they are welcome to play.
The Bunny Barn lies midway between the beautiful medieval town of Totnes and Newton Abbot. Ipplepen village is 1 mile away, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is known to have stayed here and from the area wrote his most famous novel "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" - Henry Baskerville's grave lies in the village churchyard. The Village has a traditional pub serving great food. There is a village shop, Post Office, Golf Club and Garden Centre with Coffee Shop.
The surrounding area abounds with traditional and contemporary pubs and restaurants all serving superb local food.

Wonderful
By Mel Clark on 04-Jul-2026Her indoors, AKA the Boss is a great fan of Beatrix Potter and we have been to Hill top farm and everything Peter Rabbit related. It did help that her cousin owned Grizedale Lodge less than five miles from Beatrix’s farm. So that is why the Bunny Barn caught my attention. Enough of my waffling, the Bunny Barn, what a little gem this place is. We stayed there from the fourth to the 11th of July in the middle of the heat wave and what great green air conditioning it had; thick thirteenth century stone walls that didn’t let the heat in. While many were tossing and turning trying to sleep in the hot weather we were cool and comfortable in the king size memory foam bed that we enjoyed after sitting outside with a glass (or two) of wine with the sound of silence deafening after days visiting lots of nearby places and travelling on steam trains and the steam paddle boat at Dartmouth. I’m waffling again, I really can’t do this place justice, it is magical, we were met by Gail and Roger guiding us into our own parking space and from then on it was like meeting old friends.

By Sue, Den and Boys on 19-Sep-2025We have had a lovely few days in the Bunny Barn, your pictures don't do it justice. So cosy, clean and a real home from home. You are perfect hosts. Our boys Leo and Remy settled in like they had always lived here. They loved the bedroom window it's the only one they have been able to see out of without standing on two legs (nosey parkers) I'm so pleased to have found you and will be recommending the Bunny Barn to friends. Hope to return again.

By Sandie, Gary and Lola on 27-Oct-2025We have had a wonderful time at the Bunny Barn and look forward to returning in 2026! Such a beautiful place, a warm welcome and a fantastic location. We were able to visit Dartmoor, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Buckfast Abbey. Added to that some days relaxing, reading and listen to music. Lola has also loved it, particularly watching the squirrel through the french doors!
