History is everywhere from the mysterious Jay's grave in Manaton, the St Pancras Church at Widdecombe -in -the- Moor, the neolithic village remains at Grimspound. Castles at Powderham and Compton Castle are a short drive away.
Teignmouth seaside is around 13 miles away, Torbay is a little further. Moretonhampstead Miniature Pony Park is a lovely attraction nearby.
There are many activities run by the National Park, such as; organised rambles or themed walks all led by experienced guides.
