Looking Forward to our Next Visit

Thank you Jacqueline for making our second stay at Button Cottage as enjoyable as the first time. Looking forward to our next visit.

Sense of Delight and Wellbeing

By Iris & Roger on 02-May-2026

Walking into Button Cottage we felt the same sense of delight and well-being as we did on our first stay here two years ago. Despite the number of guests during that time there has been no decline in the standard of cleanliness and presenation due in no small part to those who support Jacqueline in maintaining her property for our comfort and pleasure. We were successful in booking a table at "The Volunteer" where we were joing bu our former Sidford hosts, and we were not disappointed. Portions were generous, food delicious and reasonably prices for excellent quality. Trying to book was frustrating in that the phone wasn't answered on several occasions and premises closed when we called by twice. We now know - closed on Mondays and open from 3.30pm on other days. Our thanks to all.

A great week in this lovely cottage

By Debbie, Alex, Tracy and Darcie Mae on 30-May-2026

Had a great week in this lovely cottage which was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We have been lucky to have such fabulous weather and have made good use of the garden with breakfast on the patio. We have visited the Donkey Sanctuary, NT Killerton, Sidmouth, had a boat trip on the River Exe, Seaton Trams, World of Country Life, Steam Train Totnes, Rare Breeds and Otters.

Comfy Beds

By Karen and Howard on 03-Jun-2026

Lovely week - weather not so great! Very well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Great location to walk into Sidmouth and to other places - did not use buses in the end, not so frequent. Used Exeter Park and Ride and a Red Coast Walk well worth it so much history there. Chatted with neighbour John, very good instructions regarding waster disposal etc. Would definitely recommend as a base for this area of Devon - homely and comfortable house. Well done Jacqueline with everything.

Just Great!

Immaculately Clean

By Ann & Peter on 09-May-2026

Lovely week at Button Cottage. The house is immaculately clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The position is great for access to the Byes, the town centre and sea front, and an easy trip to Lyme Regis, Exeter etc. And we even saw a kingfisher in the Byes not 100m from the house. What's not to like? We will be back. As well as the usual lovely seaside villages and NT houses, we visited Forde Abbey and Cadham Castle which were both worthwhile.
