Escape to Rose Cottage, a beautifully restored 18th-century thatched retreat in the heart of North Devon, where original character meets modern comfort. Step through the door and you're welcomed by exposed beams, soft Farrow & Ball tones and a cosy gas-effect log burner — the kind of warm, relaxed feel that makes you want to stay put.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: a super king on the first floor, alongside the signature two-person copper bath, and a double on the ground floor. You'll also find a 43-inch UHD Smart TV, Sonos surround sound and fast Wi-Fi throughout, plus a TouchStay digital guestbook with everything you need for your stay.
Outside, your own private enclosed garden is home to a premium Beachcomber hot tub — perfect for morning coffees, evening soaks or stargazing under Devon's dark skies.

Rose Cottage sits in the peaceful village of High Bickington, in the heart of North Devon's rolling countryside; Libbaton Golf Club is within walking distance. Great Torrington, with its shops and cafés, is about 10 minutes away, and RHS Rosemoor around 20 minutes — lovely for a day out. North Devon's beaches, including Instow, Saunton and Westward Ho!, are around 25 to 35 minutes by car, with Exmoor and Dartmoor both within easy driving distance too. Barnstaple and South Molton are an approx. 15-minute drive with supermarkets and shopping. We have a great range of quality local pubs within a 10-minute drive.
Rose Cottage is also just a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive from Millbrook Estate and Tree Top Escape, so private dining, pamper treatments and fishing are all close at hand if you fancy adding something extra to your stay.
