Welcome to Forester's Cottage, a detached two bedroom / two ensuites, self-catering cottage, with ground level accommodation. Sleeping 4 + infant. Foresters has a secure garden with a Games Room and is located within our own private grounds with off road parking. Come and enjoy our location on the border of the New Forest /East Dorset and take advantage of the quieter, cooler months with our latest Autumn offers great for cycling and dog walks:A week from 25/09 £890.

Half Term & Halloween Fun: 4 nights from Wed. 28 Oct., £580.

In November, a dog can stay free at Forester's Cottage.

FORESTER'S COTTAGE is annually assessed by Visit England, 4 Star rated and awarded 100% cleanliness. A detached, charming and traditional part-cob cottage, ground level accommodation (no stairs), with timber vaulted ceilings, situated within our own grounds on the border of East Dorset and the New Forest. Two bedrooms, a Kingsize double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each bedroom has en-suite shower room, wc and hand basin. Perfect for families, friends, or couples. Sleeps 4 + infant comes free if under 2 years. Children any age welcome.
Up to two well behaved dogs by arrangement.
Open plan living with dual aspect natural light. Furnished with two and three seater sofas and country pine dining furniture. Complimented with good quality curtains and accessories. Complimentary Broadband, Smart TV, DVD, books and games for home entertainment.
Well equipped kitchen including a washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric fan oven, hob, microwave, kettle and other small appliances.
Forester's Cottage private garden is well maintained, fenced and gated, level (no steps) and has a lawn, trees, flower borders and furnished patio with table, chairs and parasol, offering a lovely space ideal for relaxing after a day exploring, and for alfresco dining late into the evening.
The Games Room in the garden has table tennis and a football game. The games room is for the sole use of visitors at the cottage.
Off road, level parking for two cars immediately next to Forester's Cottage.
Owner's EV Charger can be used by arrangement.

Fab Holiday at Forester's Cottage
By Lisa Wake on 23-Aug-2026Lisa Wake We had a fab family holiday at Forrester's cottage. Jean was a brilliant host, providing advice and suggestions which helped us make the most from our week. Lovely local dog walks, bike rides and beach days. We also did the Go Ape and a trip to Thorpe Park. Local pubs were very nice for food and drinks and dog friendly. The cottage is lovely with everything we needed for our stay. Beds comfy. The garden and games room were well used by us - great idea to have the table tennis and table football. Loved our stay at Forester's Cottage

The location is great for getting to many different places around the New Forest and being able to walk into Moors Valley Country Park was wonderful. Being out in the country but only a 5 minute drive to shops was ideal for us. The cottage is homely and comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Our girls loved playing table tennis and table football in the games room (the adults did too). The garden being self contained was ideal for our nearly-2 year old. We notified the owners that we we're going to be late for our arrival due to work commitments and travel issues. We arrived late at night, the heating and lights we're on and there was a fresh pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a nice cuppa when we got there. Jean came round the next day and we had a nice chat, the history of the Cottage is Amazing and the portfolio in the living room details this. Beautiful Cozy Cottage in a stunning location, amazing hosts and would 100% stay again. Thanks Jean and Les for a memorable stay, we hope to see you again in the near future. Steve n Shez.x
Stunning Cottage in a Beautiful Location
By Steve on 06-Mar-2026We enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend stay in March 2026. Beautiful cozy cottage tucked away in the woods, so quiet and tranquil. It was pretty cold outside during our stay however the cottage inside was cozy, warm n very snug and was lovely. The owners we're amazing and really made us feel at home. Would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of going to visit the new forest. 100% and 5star accommodation. Thanks for a lovely weekend break.
Excellent cottage in great location

Well equipped kitchen with comprehensive welcome pack. The enclosed garden and numerous nearby walks kept the dogs amused W.can recommend spending a day at Moors Valley Country park. With delicious food and friendly service, The Monmouth Ash pub completed this super holiday. Thanks to Jean and Les for the opportunity to stay at Forester's Cottage. .

A Short Notice Break

The property was excellent for our purposes and the welcome was very friendly, inclding for our dog. The property was comfortable and the facilities excellent, Things like the WiFi worked well. The outside area is secure and this is essential for dogs. There is a good range of instructions for appliances etc and this was very helpful. All in all, Foresters Cottage is an excellent place to stay.
