With forest tracks on the doorstep, it is ideally situated for exploring the countryside of the New Forest National Park and villages along the South coast. The local ponies and donkeys are frequent visitors to our lane, as they roam freely in the immediate area. A table tennis table, garden furniture and a barbecue are provided for the summer months. We supply a travel cot, high chair, childrens' dinnerware and pre-school toys upon request. Children are very welcome, but sorry, we don't allow pets.We are a couple who love to travel, and we endeavour to give our guests an experience that we ourselves would expect from a holiday cottage. Beautiful Cottage
By Geoff on 08-Jul-2026Beautiful cottage in idyllic surroundings alongside a peaceful country lane. Looked just like the photos upon arrival, easy check in with clear instructions. We all felt at home right away and shared excellent communications with our host Jenny. We have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful cottage and our hosts.
Just Wonderful
By Alice on 12-Jun-2026This home is just wonderful. Jenny's cottage was the perfect getaway for me and my friends, we were looking for a peaceful place to explore the New Forest from and the cottage did not disappoint. Arrival was easy and the home was immaculately clean, I've never been in such a clean holiday let before. Jenny had prepared a clear guide with practical information and local recommendations. The cottage had everything we needed and more, including plenty of board games and jigsaws (some that were very difficult and we didn't manage to finish- we will have to come back!!). The cottage is peaceful and in a quiet little village truly in the heart of the New Forest, we felt so perfectly placed without being isolated. Jenny stayed in touch with us perfectly, everything was clearly communicated and she was so friendly, a fantastic host. Thank you so much!!
What a Find!
By Jo on 31-Oct-2025What a find! We felt so comfortable here and had everything we could possibly need. The welcome package was a lovely touch. The cottage and local information that’s left is so useful. The cottage is so clean and tidy and done beautifully. It’s in a beautiful spot tucked out the way and within a very short walk you are out in amongst the gorse and ponies. We were delighted when donkeys passed the gate on the first morning! Jenny and Ian really have thought of everything with this place and have great communication. Thank you for a lovely stay.
A Lovely Relaxing Stay
By Helen on 22-Mar-2026A lovely relaxing stay in this delightful cottage. We were having a family catch up with our elderly father. Beautiful surroundings and easy to get to some lovely places. Buckler's Hard was a great place for a sunny Sunday morning. Sunday lunch in the Fleur de Leys was fabulous, but need to book. Cottage was immaculate and had everything you need for a fantastic stay. We were so lucky with the weather and the garden is so private, quiet and full of birds. Jenny was extremely accommodating to our needs and her communication was excellent. Would highly reccomend and will stay again if coming back to area. Thank you Jenny.
Simply Superb
By Kim on 11-Apr-2026This cottage is simply superb. Great location for the New Forest and coast and a wonderful place to escape. The garden is beautiful and the cottage lovely and bright and airy. So many options for DVDs, inside games, games in the garden and walks on the doorstep. Great restaurants nearby and Jenny and Ian gave lots of details about what each place offered. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We all wished we could have stayed longer.
Lucky Last Minute Find
By Sarah on 07-May-2026This was such a lucky last minute find - we went away as a family of 3 with grandparents. The cottage was spacious, clean and a home from home. Jenny was quick to respond to any query I had - even when it was to find out where the local supermarket was, she was full of recommendations and suggestions of where to go for shopping and eating out. The welcome book in the cottage was also full of really helpful information. Have already recommended the cottage to two friends and would love to come back and visit again!
