The pepper pot opened April 2024 lovely well equipped modern property situated in the peaceful countryside with scenic views. Step out of the door onto the Downes and enjoy the stunning countryside. Great for walks. For discount on ferry travel, please contact us to book your ferry tickets.A two bedroom one level property that has an opened plan lounge kitchen dinning area with a dishwasher, washing machine. Wood burner for those cold winter nights and electric heaters in all rooms with a complimentary basket of logs .Ten pounds a bag of you require more ..We provide tea, coffee,sugar,complimentry gift pack for you and your dog Cleaning equipment is provided during your stay.There are two bedrooms master bedroom has a king size bed the other bed has two twin beds. Bathroom with a deep bath tub so you can relax, separate shower ,bath sink and toilet. A hallway with coat hanging facility seat with a shoe box electric heaters in the bedrooms, lounge .Own parking area for two cars ,outdoor seating area with BBQ ,fire pit hot tub in a fenced of area outside the house were your dog can be free in this area with scenic views over the meadow or see the bright stars at night through the clear sky .
Travel cot can be provided for infant this allowing five guest to stay .
We are dog friendly dogs are charged at £35 per dog per stay two dogs maximum.
Great walks outside the property onto a flat walk then onto the downs with stunning scenery over looking parts of the island,15 min walk to our local village with three pubs, cafe ,chemist, shop.
Beaches 10 mins by car ,walking 20 mins .
Play area with a trampoline ,animal petting guinea pigs, ponies .We also have ducks and chickens .

Short breaks available minimum three night stays these are not available through our peak season months of July /August seven night stay only .We are also able to offer discounted ferry travel booked through us.

Lovely stay

We really appreciated her showing us and our toddler the little ducklings as well as providing great, practical information about local parking and where to eat. Great location for getting to main attractions whilst also being in a peaceful area. Play area and farm animals were great for our toddler.

Sharon was so helpful, responsive to all of our questions and make us feel very welcome. The cottage was just what we needed and the hot tub after a 54k run was just perfect. Highly recommend Sharon’s place and will be back in future ⭐️
Great for dogs and children
By Jess on 24-Apr-2026Lovely stay at the Pepper Pot. Excellent place to stay if you have dogs and children. We have a nearly 2 year old toddler who adored seeing the animals every day and loved playing in the little park area. Dogs were well thought of too, with sofa covers, treats and poo bags provided. So many lovely things around to see and explore, especially if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle.
Lovely hot tub
By Joe on 11-Apr-2026What a fantastic stay at the Pepper Pot - such a wonderful place, lovely hosts, wonderful walks and as always, so much to do on the IoW. Particularly recommend checking out the waterfall a short 15 min walk away. The hot tub was lovely. The place was really immaculate and very clean throughout. Very comfortable. The playpark and all the animals the kids loved.

By Chloe on 14-Mar-2026lovely few days at the pepper pot. My boys loved the hot tub and meeting the ponies. Hosts were very attentive and kind helping us with the log burner and providing fresh eggs from their chickens. Great place to explore the island from.
The cottage is lovely and comfortable
By Matt on 30-Apr-2026We’ve visited the Isle of Wight many times over the years and this was one of our favourite places to stay. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, and made a perfect base for exploring the island. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after long walks. Our dog absolutely loved the local walks up to Hoy Monument and St Catherine’s Oratory — such a beautiful part of the island with incredible views. Even though we know the island quite well, we still managed to explore plenty of the surrounding area and always looked forward to coming back to the cottage at the end of the day. A really relaxing stay and we’d happily return. Thanks so much Sharon and John!
