Peaceful, beautiful and well appointed cottage in an idyllic loacation.
By Lorraine and Carroll Yates on 22-Aug-2026Another lovely holiday in one of Linda and David’s holiday cottages.. So beautifully presented, very comfortable and WOW! What a generous welcome package, so need to go shopping straight away.. Particularly considerate for three OAP’s, as were the addition of mobile steps to aid access for those with mobility issues. So thoughtful. The cottage is peaceful but not isolated within easy reach of many amenities eg. Supermarkets, pubs, beaches, walks etc Can’t wait wait for our next stay.
Perfect
By Amanda, John , Luna ( Hungarian WHV) & Bo ( mixed breed on 12-Sep-2026We have been coming to Dairymaid every year for the last 10 years. If that’s not a recommendation I don’t know what is. For us this Island & Cottage are perfection. Always a wonderful welcome basket from Linda. The cottage is always spotlessly clean and fully equipped.. Book Dairymaid you won’t regret it.
What a fantastic stay
By Penny and James on 23-May-2026What a fantastic stay at Dairymaid Cottage! The cottage is beautifully presented, immaculately clean, and full of character, making it feel like a true home away from home. One of the highlights was the incredibly generous welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. It included delicious sausages, bacon, fresh eggs, and a selection of lovely cakes, which was such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated after our long journey. It really made us feel welcome and added something special to the start of our holiday. Every detail in the cottage has been carefully considered, from the comfortable furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen. We also loved the beautiful garden, which was a peaceful spot to sit and relax with a morning coffee or enjoy the evening sunshine. The well-kept outdoor spaces added even more charm to an already wonderful property. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and are already looking forward to returning. Dairymaid Cottage exceeded all our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable getaway. Five stars all round!

A lovely place to enjoy a relaxing break, sitting by the roaring fire on a February evening, or enjoying the countryside walks from the door. The owners take great care of the cottage and the pretty gardens.. Superb welcome pack including treats for the dogs! We will be back.
