Description
Lavender cottage is an ideal spot for a peaceful get away by the sea. Its ideally situated in a quiet cul de sac location, only a short walk to the sea front, in the unspoiled village of Sutton on Sea.A detached, two bedroom bungalow, it has been renovated throughout. The accommodation comprises spacious lounge with dining table seating four, comfortable settee and two armchairs-one is upright, excellent for those with back issues.
A newly fitted, well equipped kitchen with fridge, separate freezer, microwave, air fryer, induction hob and fan oven. Also washing machine and airer to put out for drying clothes. There’s also a spacious conservatory adjoining the kitchen, a newly fitted bathroom and two bedrooms- one double with king size bed and one twin.
A large enclosed garden, ideal for dogs and not overlooked, surrounds the property. There is plenty of space in the entrance porch for coats and boots and parking for 2 cars on the drive. WiFI throughout.
One dog welcome (dog bed available free of charge), two may be accepted on request.
Strictly non smoking. Welcome pack on arrival and food cupboard essentials provided. Information and leaflets on local attractions/places to visit are found at the property, plus Lincolnshire Wolds walks book, a local walks leaflet and local OS map.
Aswell as the fantastic sandy beach just 7-8mins walk away, (Blue Flag and award winning), the cottage is within easy walking distance of the high street, with a wide range of places to eat and drink, and only 5 minute's walk to a bus route.
There's a host of attractions and outdoor activities on your doorstep. Walkers will love it here. You can amble along the prom or enjoy the wide, exceptionally clean sandy beach or walk in the more challenging Lincolnshire Wolds. Skegness and Mablethorpe are close by for numerous holiday activities for the family. Seal & Donkey sanctuaries, Ten Pin bowling and Splash zone water park, all within an easy drive. The nearby towns of Horncastle, Louth and Alford are all well worth a visit, with National Trust property, Tattershall Castle around 45 minutes drive away. A day out in Lincoln, including a visit to its beautiful cathedral is an excellent day trip.
Please note there is a £100 good housekeeping bond on this property refunded within 5 days after you have left the property. One well behaved dog is very welcome ( two possible on request) . Strictly non smoking. Bed linen and towels included, shower gel and hand wash. Optional dog bed at no extra cost.

By Elizabeth on 10-Jul-2026We had a great stay at Penny's lovely bungalow its well equipped in a very quiet and well maintained area properties on the approach are in good order so fab first impression great easy flat walk into sutton or to the prom. The bungalow is very spacious we stayed with another couple (which is new experience for us) and we didnt feel hemmed in. Plenty room for both our cars on the drive on the large drive our car didnt move all week Garden and conservatory are lovely sun traps. Penny was very patient with me i was maudering and asking questions for our elderley border collie he was very happy in the garden and a little wander round the quiet roads nearby. Also Penny sent a lot of useful info for check in including what you can expect in the welcome pack, and enables a smooth check in. Sutton itself is very clean calm super friendly traditional little town with fantastic prom or King charles Coastal path as it is known we walked to & from mablethorpe aprox 6miles personally much prefer Sutton but had to go as spent holidays in Mablethorpe as a child. All in all we were very happy with the bungalow and would return

Easy short walk to the beach, cafés, shops and pubs. Penny was an excellent commentator! We have already booked our next trip. 😎

The street was Very clean with well kept properties, we couldn’t have chosen a better area to stay. There is a place close by to walk the dog that leads across to the beach. Everything was provided for your holiday, and Penny was very good if you needed to contact her for anything. My husband and I both agree, it was the perfect place that we chose.
A premier cottage.
By Ken Bichard on 02-May-2025Without doubt, Lavender cottage is the best cottage we have ever stayed in and since 'lock down' we have rented quite a number. Ideally located in a quiet area of Sutton on Sea, a short distance from a dog friendly beach. and not far from shops and a couple of restaurants. Inside, the rooms are immaculate. Very spacial with a large enclosed garden. Lavender cottage is well worth a visit.
