Our charming 5* dog-friendly cottage, a short walk from a dog-friendly beach and nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the small peaceful seaside hamlet of Trusthorpe, offers you the perfect seaside holiday home experience. We are proud to have achieved over 60 5-star reviews from all of our guests since we opened in the summer of 2021, and we promise you won’t be disappointed!Sandpiper Cottage is a spotlessly clean, sunny, detached bungalow, which is extremely spacious, comfortable and welcoming, being maintained by the owners, Val and David, to a very high standard.
Midway between Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandpiper Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all the area has to offer, and is only a short drive to a host of Lincolnshire’s many attractions. As well as full weeks, we also offer short breaks: 3 nights Fri-Mon and 4 nights Mon-Fri. Please enquire for our best rate.

Sandpiper has ample off-road parking for two cars in the drive and has secure garage storage for cycles.
Sandpiper Cottage offers two large, airy double bedrooms – one kingsize with an ensuite shower room (with sink and toilet), and the other with twin beds, adjacent to our sparkling, fully-tiled family bathroom.
Both bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality bed linen and comfy pillows. Along with plenty of storage space, personal safe, hairdryers, smartphone chargers/alarm clocks, etc., there is everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
The large, modern and well-equipped dining kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal, and includes an electric Hob and new electric double Oven, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Air Fryer, filter Coffee machine, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer. A door from the kitchen leads into our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable alternative eating and relaxing area, looking out onto our pretty, private, and secure garden.
Move through into our cosy lounge with two comfy leather recliners and sofa, and a 55” Samsung Smart TV with NOW TV, Sky Sports, Amazon Prime and Freeview available free to our guests. Complimentary ultra-fast free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Through French windows, the lounge leads onto a private terrace with a bistro table and chairs, where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning the day’s adventures. There are sun loungers and beach towels available.

By Linda Pycroft on 04-Sep-2026We cannot speak highly enough of Sandpiper Cottage. Our hosts Val and David made us, and our two little dogs, feel really at home. Bella and Sam especially appreciated having their own doggy welcome pack! The cottage is furnished to a very high standard, with comfy beds and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. Also, it was an unexpected bonus to have a living room and a separate conservatory that both opened onto the lovely, enclosed garden. Sandpiper is situated in a peaceful location just minutes from the sea, a dog friendly beach and countryside walks. We certainly could not ask for anything more. Thank you, Val and David, for a wonderful stay.

By Mr Gary Herbert on 23-Aug-2026Just back from our fourth stay at Sandpiper. It really is a home from home with absolutely everything you could need for a great stay. spotlessly clean and tidy. The cottage is so convenient for the beach just a couple of minutes walk away and it is dog friendly. The walk along the prom to Mablethorpe is really lovely too. The lounge has two reclining chairs which are perfect to relax in after a long day exploring and the bedrooms are comfortable and welcoming. There is a beautifully kept private garden and a cosy conservatory. The kitchen is well equipped. Thank you Valerie and David for another lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. We look forward to another stay soon.

My mum Marie who is elderly thought it was beautiful too and also enjoyed it very very much. Everything you needed or even forgot to bring was surprisingly there, like home away from home. My sister felt at ease because it also catered for her mobility disability needs. It’s a real home from home and has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay with a lovely garden and within easy walking distance to a dog friendly beach.
