Set in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this luxurious, spacious holiday home has its own private pool, sauna and hot tub. It sleeps 16 people in 7 bedrooms, so is a superb choice for a family holiday, friends' holiday, a retreat, corporate team-building event or hen party. We can recommend both local and national caterers and beauticians. The local pub is walking distance.This truly spacious holiday home sleeps 16 guests and all the bedrooms are en-suite. It’s perfect for a holiday with friends and family; the ideal venue to celebrate a special occasion or hen party; or to host a relaxation retreat or corporate event. We have recently started offering micro Wedding Blessings and Renewal of Vows Ceremonies for small/intimate family groups.

Originally the long barn, Marris Barn was sympathetically converted into the ultimate holiday accommodation. It now features an additional contemporary bedroom wing and a luxurious single storey annexe, The Wagon Shed. This is suitable for independent and accessible visitors; plus it’s a great place to escape to if some of your party want some time away from the general hub bub during your stay. Please note that the accessible features relate to the Wagon Shed only. It is possible to enter all the levels of Marris Barn using a wheelchair via the outside sloped paths.
Marris Barn also has an exclusive leisure complex with its own private indoor swimming pool, sauna, games room and outdoor hot tub. The leisure complex is connected to the main building – so you don’t even have to go outside if you fancy a swim. Yet it’s away from the main living area. So when some of your group are enjoying some competitive games, others can still enjoy some quiet time to watch a movie.
Marris Barn is a superb place for a holiday at any time of the year and will please the most discerning visitors. The design allows the barn to be fully sustainable using solar power and ground source energy. Surrounded by the beautiful rolling green hillsides of the Wolds there is an extensive footpath network leading to quiet unspoilt villages, rural inns and the National cycle route is just 2 miles distant.

We Love Marris Barn, But the Wasp Issue Needs Attention
By Guest on 06-Sep-2026This was our third stay at Marris Barn and, as always, we had a fantastic two nights. It’s a beautiful property, in a gorgeous setting, and somewhere we clearly love coming back to. Unfortunately, the only thing that really let this stay down was the number of wasps inside the barn. There were lots throughout the property, both alive and dead on the floors, and upstairs was particularly bad. In one bedroom alone we counted nine wasps, which was quite alarming and made us wonder whether there may be a nest somewhere in or around the property. Aside from this, everything was great as usual and we had a lovely stay. Marris Barn remains a very special place and we would absolutely return, but the wasp issue definitely needs investigating and resolving for future guests.
A perfect place for a large family gathering
By Guest on 31-Aug-2026We all loved being in this amazing property and there was no need to go anywhere else for entertainment. Everything had been so well thought out and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with equipment, crockery and cutlery. Having two dishwashers was brilliant! There were a few maintenance issues - bedroom 3 bathroom door scrapes the floor tiles badly, the basin doesn’t hold water and the loo seat didn’t stay down, it just sort of hovered! Everyone said the drain smell was awful especially in the bedroom over the kitchen. One of the doors in the Wagon Shed didn’t lock so wasn’t secure. I am sure there is an annual maintenance inspection anyway when all these things will be dealt with. There is a bees nest over the main door but they didn’t bother us. I think they were bees, not wasps. All in all we have come away with many happy memories - so thank you.
Family Holiday
By Guest on 14-Aug-2026Just had the most fantastic week at The Maris Barn and Wagon Shed with our family celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. What a fantastic place every age group catered for we were a group of 13, ages from 2 to 70 the pool and hot tub used every day from early morning, very well equipped and very clean, no complaints at all I'm hoping to re-book for next year
