ABOUT THIS SPACE
Dating back to 1840, Grove Stables has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation, available year-round (thanks to its cosy underfloor heating) for up to 4 guests. Both bedrooms and kitchen have beamed and vaulted ceilings and the main rooms are all dual aspect making the space feel light and airy, from sunrise to sunset.
There are patio doors leading into its pretty enclosed cottage garden, where you can relax over your favourite tipple while listening to the birds. Guests may explore the main garden, around 3 acres of park-like grounds where frequent visitors include wagtails, gold finches, pheasants, rooks, rabbits and hares, barn & tawny owls, deer and many more.

Ground Floor
Large, high ceiling, double bedroom - Sealy kingsize bed, IKEA chair, drawers, wardrobe, hair dryer. Patio doors open onto secluded patio/garden. Travel cot available on request.
Bathroom - bath with thermostatic shower over and hand basin, separate WC & basin
Lounge - 2 x 2 seater settees, board games, Freeview TV, DVD player, Fibre to the premises broadband and Amazon firestick TV
Kitchen with dining area - dining table and 4 chairs, electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle. High chair available on request.
Utility room - washing machine, iron, ironing board.
First Floor
Second double bedroom - Sealy double bed, plenty of drawer and hanging space
En suite shower room - shower cubicle, thermostatic shower, WC and hand basin
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included but you will need to bring your own beach towels.
Visitors will find a comfortable and well equipped holiday home, where they can get away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives and take a chance to relax. The property is heated by an air-source heat pump and is very cosy even in the winter.
GUEST ACCESS
On arrival you will be greeted by the owners and shown around the property. Guests will then be left to enjoy their holiday unless they require further assistance. The owners are contactable by phone or in person as they live in the adjacent Georgian former farmhouse. There is ample parking in front of Grove Stables. (The location is not served by public transport; therefore, a car is essential for your trip.)
LOCATION
The setting is rural but local sandy beaches, Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden are all within easy reach by car. Country walks are easily accessible - right from the front gate. Nearest shops are in Stalham (3 miles away).

Extremely kind and generous hosts

Ideal for a late summer holiday
By Stephen on 31-Aug-2026Sally & David were great hosts and their place was ideal for a late summer holiday in the beautiful countryside of North Norfolk. All utilities worked well and the kitchen was provisioned with useful items for home cooking. The bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor makes it a great stay for those unable to navigate stairs along with easy parking directly outside the front door. We had a great time exploring the area and would highly recommend this place to others.

By Paul on 13-Aug-2026A really lovely two-bedroom converted stable block tucked behind a Georgian farmhouse. Brilliant location, well laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts were really nice. The little garden was very well kept and a lovely place to eat in the evening. We will be back.
Stunning dark skies for star gazing
By Camilla on 18-Aug-2026Sally and her husband were so welcoming - we instantly felt at home! The accommodation was cute and cosy and I was particularly surprised with how big and spacious it was! It has a gorgeous outside area too. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and it was very easy to cook in. Our hosts were very helpful in sharing recommendations for places to visit. They also showed us around the accommodation and gave clear, easy to follow instructions to reach the accommodation. The stable is set in beautiful surroundings with stunning dark skies for star gazing! We loved our stay in Norfolk and were delighted with our Air B and B stay - thank you so much!
Brilliant stay would highly recommend
By Steven on 11-Jul-2026Sally and David were very welcoming, nothing was any trouble, the accommodation was amazing, the rooms, kitchen bathrooms, garden, private out door area, everything was beautiful. Easy commute by car to local places of interest and Norfolk Broads, plenty of local shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. also some really good Farm Shops/ cafes. Brilliant stay would highly recommend staying especially if you love the quiet setting outstanding property. Hope we get the opportunity to stay again.
