James's Parlour is the ideal cottage for a large family holiday, a special celebration or a group getaway; with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere and very well-appointed. James's Parlour is thoughtfully designed with everything your guests might need.With a large enclosed garden and patio area that wraps itself around the cottage lending itself to some wonderful outdoor fun and relaxing alfresco dining.
Sleeping 12 people and 2 cots, with 5 good sized bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Your guests have access to all of the shared facilities of Indoor Swimming Pool, Multi Sports Court & Under 5's Play Area - All booked for your own exclusive & private use. Along with access to our NEW Football Field (seasonal) Picnic Area, BBQ's, Bike Store, Bird Watching & Star Gazing Area's, Oak Acre Avenue, On-site Parking and WIFI.
James's Parlour is a large, spacious well designed converted Georgian barn that can accommodate 12 people comfortably. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with plenty of space for two travel cots if required.
With a stunning open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, this barn is perfect for a large family holiday, a friends get away or to celebrate a special occasion.
The hand made dining table, comfortably sits 12 and is ideal for a celebration meal or a simple family feast.
The modern kitchen is well equipped to cater for large groups, containing plenty of tableware and kitchen utensils.
Having been lovingly converted, this barn has retained original beams, trusses and brick pillars mixing traditional with modern.
Outside, James's Parlour boasts a very large enclosed garden with a substantial patio area with furniture. With incredible views across the Shropshire countryside and a real suntrap in the Summer. Watch the sun go down over the fields whilst you enjoy an alfresco meal with something bubbly or a fun picnic with the children!

Bathroom 1 With Shower over Bath, toilet, heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1: Twin room with Jack and Jill access to Bathroom 1 with Shower over Bath.
First Floor: With beams and brick pillars.
Bedroom 1: With Double Bed and en-suite shower, toilet & heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: With Double Bed.
Bedroom 3: With Twin Beds.
Bedroom 4: Family Room with Double Bed and Twin Beds.
Bathroom 3: Large Family Bathroom, with luxury corner bath with shower attachment, toilet and heated towel rail.

A great place for a family holiday.
By Guest on 07-Aug-2026There were 12 of us ranging in ages from 79 to 14. James Parlour was superb for our family holiday. More than enough kitchen utensils, comfy beds, great out door facilities, a comfy, spacious lounge for family games nights and a swimming pool! What's not to like as our teenagers would say! Such a lovely peaceful location with good walks to the canal path, the water park and the surrounding countryside. We loved it.
Multi generation holiday

Great supply of toys, books & sports equipment. Swimming pool was lovely Barn very well equipped , much better than anticipated One member had to work & WiFi excellent Well placed for airport for family travelling from abroad Great stay & happy memories made
Family holiday
By Guest on 17-Apr-2026Fabulous house with lots of space, garden area and super facilities which kept out three 4 year olds happy. Easy for trips out, walks or just picnic in the field playing frisbee. Great information beforehand, well run business. Very happy holidays!
A fabulous family getaway

James parlour was everything we were expecting - lots of seating space, lots of room around the table, plenty of pots, pans, utensils and crockery in the kitchen. The house was nice and warm, the children's play area was was wonderful and we used the pool which was fab. Would definitely recommend this place.
Birthday break
By Guest on 27-Oct-2025Just back from a family birthday break and what a wonderful place.There were 12 of us in the James parlour and a further 5 in the adjacent barn.place was spotless and kitchen had everything you need to cook for a large family gathering.Bedrooms were perfect and having three bathrooms was great with so many people staying . We had children with us and with the weather being fine they were outside a lot playing football and in the children’s play area. The swimming pool was lovely very easy to book slots and the children loved it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.
