Overview
Description
We've just re-opened the East Barn as a holiday cottage again after a five year gap. The East Barn is a lovingly converted barn on a working farm, one of three neighbouring cottages tucked in the Golden Valley outside the village of Bitton. It has two bedrooms that can be either configured as a double and two singles, or alternatively as two doubles. One has an ensuite shower and wc, and the second has an adjacent bathroom. Upstairs is open plan, with a living area one end and a kitchen/diner the other. There is a private walled patio at the back and a paved front garden with teak chairs, table and recliners, plus a play area with swings, a climbing frame and slide and a trampoline. There is also a walk to the River Boyd where there is a picnic table by the Mill Pond.
Popular with cyclists, riders and walkers, the valley has many footpaths as well as being close to the Bristol & Bath Railway Path. The historic cities of Bath and Bristol are both 15 minutes drive away and many further attractions are within reach. Tracey Park Golf Club is two miles away. The property is 100 metres from the owners' house, and there is often plenty going on to entertain visitors.

Perefect location for Bristol and Bath, whilst being in the heart of the country side
By Julie Coleman on 22-Oct-2026Amazing barn that I really cannot rate highly enough. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Rob and his family from the moment we arrived. The dogs were every bit as welcome as the humans, and the lovely surroundings gave them plenty of space to exercise and enjoy themselves. The weather wasn't great during our stay, but that didn't spoil things at all, as there were lots of books and games to keep us entertained, we also enjoyed spending time cooking together and even took a plunge in the cold swimming pool. Overall, it was a wonderfully welcoming and relaxing place to stay, equally perfect for exploring city or countryside, or just spending time with family or friends. We cannot wait to return.,
