By Marty B on 24-Jul-2026We booked the Dukes Lodge for one week in July as a family party of 12 and two dogs and can thoroughly recommend the accommodation The facilities are first class with excellent outdoor seating areas all bedrooms had en-suite showers and some with baths and also tvs. The dogs particularly loved the fenced paddock at the rear which allowed them to run free. It is also far enough away from the road so you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings It’s was so good that we are considering returning. Simon our contact was very helpful in explaining everything , and there is even a downstairs bedroom for the less mobile guest Dedicated dog room and shower was also invaluable especially in the hot weather we had Six stars if I could get an extra ⭐

Amazing property and stay
By The Angels on 12-Dec-2025Have just returned from a weekend at Duke's Lodge as a family of 11 + 3 dogs. The house was absolutely amazing, made even more magical having been decorated for Christmas (trees in both lounges, kitchen and decorations and lights set up). Bobbie and Simon were so accommodating with questions beforehand and lovely to meet in person. They clearly are very proud of the property and so should be; it really is stunning. Everything was spotlessly clean with all amenities you could ask for or expect fully available. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious, the games room fabulous for children, the lounges a great space to relax in, but the real star of the house is the kitchen/diner; it is a huge, inviting place that is perfect for gathering, hosting and celebrating - it really is the hub of the house. The outside space and grounds are amazing; the enclosed garden perfect for dogs and the hot tub, gazebo and seating areas perfect for all the family despite visiting in December. We really cannot fault anything during our stay, and look forward to returning.
Lovely big Rooms

Lovely big rooms all with en-suites, two living spaces, so we could split the board gamers from the rugby watchers. Great kitchen and indoor outdoor flow for bbqing. Stunning countryside location for morning walks!
Great group house
By James O'callahan on 13-May-2024Our group of 13 had a perfect stay here. The hosts are friendly and responsive. The house is large and different groups were able to do their own things at times. I have never stayed somewhere with such a well equipped kitchen, including actually sharp knives! The rooms are well sized and all ensuite. The hot-tub was perfect after a day exploring Norfolk. We tried out both the pizza oven and bbq with success.

The house is amazing, from the general decor/furniture and themed rooms to the completeness and quality of the amenities. We particularly appreciated the fact that all bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom (toilet + shower), the fact that the kitchen is very well equipped with lots of machines and all the utensils you could ever need, the fact that equipment and furniture are of high quality/spec, the large and beautifully kept garden and outdoor spaces, and the way the house comes together really well and is held together by meticulous and tasteful interior design. We should also mention that the hosts are amazingly helpful and responsive and went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay possible. Overall, whichever way we look at it, we simply cannot fault the Duke's Lodge, and every single guest gave it a solid 5 out of
