Description
Harvey's Mill is a 17th century post windmill beautifully converted into a charming holiday cottage sleeping 2 set in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast region.The mill has many quirky original features, a spacious bedroom up the spiral stairs and the large bathroom has a free standing double ended bath.
On arrival all guests receive a welcome pack containing wine, homemade biscuits, homemade jam, homemade bread, homemade chocolate biscuit cake, eggs from my hens when laying, orange juice and fresh flowers.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, electric hob, microwave, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment (extra freezer space is available if required), toaster, kettle and all the utensils you would need for cooking.
Convenient for Minsmere RSPB reserve and the popular coastal towns of Southwold, Walberswick, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. Snape Maltings concert hall is under 15mins drive. Framlingham Castle is a short drive inland. Orford Castle is 20mins away by car to the South.
A quiet romantic retreat set in open countryside with panoramic views and a private, dog friendly, enclosed garden, supervised pets are welcome.
Pets are welcome free of charge.
Parking is on a private driveway well away from the public roads and out of sight of any passers by. A footpath leads from the drive into open fields where you can explore the quiet lanes of Suffolk for miles.
We have many wildlife visits from deer, brown hare and badgers and many birds can be seen from the gardens including Kestrels, Barn Owls, Turtle Doves, Buzzards and Harriers.
