By Farrow on 22-Jun-2026The road is very close to room and the modern traffic do not slow up. Tractors included. It’s a good base but road is the worst issue.

By Vickers on 22-May-2026Cottage Review Lovely location, clean and comfortable accommodation for two adults and a dog. So peaceful looks out to fields at front and woods to back. Lots of animals and bird life. Garden a real sun trap and the woods behind accommodation were lovely to walk dog in. Note garden isn’t gated / enclosed so need to keep eye on dog as garden open to road which at times was busy with farm traffic. Charming character beams upstairs- need to watch head in shower if tall ! We stayed for a 3 day long weekend - very central location for all key sightseeing locations - would recommend.

By Orr on 28-Nov-2025Cottage had everything we needed. Very comfortable & spacious. Great location for Harrogate, Pateley Bridge, Gnaresborough, Ripon & lots of lovely places to visit. Excellent folder of instructions so there were no unanswered questions & we knew exactly what was expected of us & what to do if any problems encountered. Had a lovely week.

By Jacobs on 05-Sep-2026Comments about this property Everything you needed provided. Would suggest a better range of drinking glasses. Didn't get much opportunity to enjoy the outside facilities, but was not secure for our dog so probably wouldn't have used, The EV charging was an added and needed facility, however expensive and luckily no-one else was staying so whilst we had to book a slot it wasn't an issue, this may not be the case in the busy periods. Tips for other travellers Close to Brimham Rocks, great day out. 4 miles from Paterley Bridge, enjoyed a nice walk there. Local pub is closed, didn't use the Local shop. Knaresborough about 10 miles away.

By Hoyle on 01-Aug-2026Comments about this property We stayed last year, and liked it so much we came back this year.It was very easy to book.Very clean and well equipped kitchen.Clean throughout, lovely views from the windows.Wood to walk in very close by.We found it very peaceful and easy to relax in. Tips for other travellers Near Pately Bridge, where the oldest sweet shop in the world is.There is also a museum.Excellent shops. Not far to Knaresborough where Mother Shipton's Cave is.You can go on the river. The Crown in Pateley Bridge is a nice pub,and serves good food. They have a quiz every Wednesday at 8.30 pm.Same with the Royal Oak,as regards food.
