Patna is a wonderful place to stay
By Ned on 12-Jul-2026Patna is a wonderful place to stay in beautiful surroundings. Right on the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast walk, with great pubs very near by. The cottage is spacious, though the ceiling in the second bedroom is a little low for taller people. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. Beds are comfy, the shower is great, and everything works. And on hot days, the thick walls ensure the house keeps cool, which is brilliant! Loved staying there. Hope to come back.

Beautiful cottage
By Barry on 05-Jul-2026Stayed for a week, myself, my wife and 21 tear old daughter. Beautiful cottage, with everything we needed for our stay (+ some bonus food items on arrival). Made to feel very welcome. The location is stunning, and although it only has a small patio at the front, the views from the rear were gorgeous and we spent time across the lane in the Community Orchard, with it's stunning views. It was so quiet and peaceful, we were able to have a much needed relaxing break. Good location for explorinv the Dales. We will booking again for next year!!
Excellent
By Justyne N on 03-Jun-2026What a wonderful stay in Patna Cottage. The cottage is extremely cosy, comfortable and had everything for a pleasant stay. The welcome pack was really appreciated and the beautiful flowers on the table was a lovely gesture. The village had a real community feel about it and the neighbours were so friendly and helpful. The walks around the surrounding area were amazing. We will definitely return to the is wonderful part of Yorkshire. Reviewer location - Kent UK Date of arrival - 23 May 2026
The Dale
By Tony Welly on 24-Apr-2026The Yorkshire Dales! I could stop there, but, this is a perfect cozy cottage for an adventure in the Dales. Two-minute walk to a pub with a room overlooking the Dales and they have a great chef and food. Keld is located right on the coast-to-coast walk, so if you like to have a drink and amazing conversations with these walkers, the Pub (Keld Lodge) is the place. So many local walks (Foot Paths) and some are circular with amazing views. If you like to cook, as I do, the kitchen is perfect and has everything you need to make you breakfast and evening Tea. You might get a visit from the sheep at your window in the sitting room or maybe some pheasants. Hawes and the Wensley Dale Creamery is just south of Keld. The Tan Hill Inn is very close. There is a breakfast and lunch restaurant just next to the Pub if you do not want to cook. This is James Herriot country, Askrigg (Skeldale House) is just a few miles away. I hope to make it back.
