Gulls Cry Cottage WhitbyGulls Cry Cottage is an Amazing Luxury 17th Century Detached Self Catering 3 bedroom Holiday Cottage in the very Centre of Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Built in 1660 it has been refurbished to a very high standard with Barker & Stonehouse furniture and beds, oak interior doors and is freshened up Spring time each year for the new season. We pride ourselves on how we ourselves Maintain and Manage Gulls Cry for a more personal experience with no shocks on arrival. We strive to make Gulls Cry home from home by supplying everything guests could want in a self catering Cottage.

Set in a quiet Private Court Yard with Rattan Dining Furniture, Cosy Summer House, & Brick Built BBQ,
The outside space is very popular with guests returning year on year due to this being unavailable in most Cottages.
With free Wi-Fi throughout, GCH / 43" LED TV in Lounge & TV in all Bedrooms. The lounge also boasts a Sound Bar, Sub Woofer & Cosy log burning Stove Set in an Antique Oak Surround.

Gulls Cry is 5mins from the Beach and 2 mins
from the Harbour Side Wine Bars, Restaurants and quaint little pubs and micro bars dotted about Whitby and only a one minute walk to the nearest shop for essentials, despite being in a very private position.
We supply Bar & Restaurant details also so you can book in advance to avoid queues and disappointments, also location Maps to find the places easily.
From The 199 steps up to the Abbey and local Brewery and Saltwick Bay along the Cliff top there are so many things to do in Whitby.
It is also a perfect base for walking as the Cleveland Way passes through Whitby where you can visit Robin Hoods Bay, Brunswick Bay, Saltburn By The Sea and so many more places, or go by Car, Bus or Train all within a few minutes walk from Gulls Cry.
York is only an hour away for a day out if staying longer.
In the Summer there is also a Steam Train leaves Whitby for Grosmont.
Check in 3pm - Check out 10am, but we do try and be flexible where possible

Fantastic Cottage

Great location, close to shops, bars, restaurants and everything Whitby has to offer. Lovely outdoor courtyard at the cottage, perfect to come back to if the town gets a little busy. Excellent communication with Colin the host and a parking permit included. Cannot fault the cottage, its location or the host. Cheers Ian

Beautiful Cottage

The cottage is in a central location & has everything on your doorstep, whilst still having an air of peace & tranquility. Gull’s Cry Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break in Whitby. The beds are super comfy, as are the sofas & the bathroom was very luxurious. Colin was really helpful & we appreciated his tips on places to eat or avoid! He has thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and well informed. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again one day. 5 Star Cottage in Heart of Whitby

The cottage itself is gorgeous, really well finished but with a lot of charm. Colin was really communicative and gave us some great advice on where to go for food and drinks. Absolutely Gorgeous Quaint Cottage
