PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum three night stay at this property.A modern holiday home, situated within York’s city walls. All the city's theatres/concert venues are within walking distance as are the Minster, The Shambles, museums and every other tourist attraction.
The apartment is on the first floor of a 3-storey block of just six flats, sharing a secure car park.
A coded gateway, located under the archway entrance, ensures security for the small complex.
Set within a small, neatly maintained and peaceful, communal garden, the apartment comprises an entrance hall, sitting room, breakfast kitchen, twin bedroom, master bedroom and bathroom.
In the sitting room are two large leather sofas, one of which converts into a comfortable double bed (small extra charge for use), a flat widescreen television with digital channels and a Firestick enabling guests to log in to their own Netflix/Prime accounts, plus a Blu-Ray player and a selection of DVDs. Games and many books about York - its history and attractions - are all provided, as is broadband internet access.
The fully-fitted kitchen contains everything you need to feel at home including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer-dryer, microwave, a single cup cafetiere and toaster.
The main bedroom has a king-size bed, fitted furniture, a clock radio with wireless phone charger, a small wall-mounted flat screen TV and a hairdryer.
The smaller bedroom has two very comfortable divan beds with drawers under for extra storage, bedside drawers with clock radio, single wardrobe and a fan.
There are electric heaters and smoke detectors in every room plus, in the hall cupboard, an electric immersion tank for hot water, clothes drying racks and a large fan for use in the living room/main bedroom if required.
All York’s museums (Railway, Castle, Yorkshire and Chocolate - York’s Sweet History) are but a short stroll away, as are two cinemas, both theatres and the Barbican concert venue. York Racecourse is also within walking distance.
For motorists, Queens Court provides one secure, allocated parking space. It is convenient for the railway station (10 minute walk) and Park & Ride bus stops.
Good quality towels, modern bedding and an end of rental clean are all included in the price. For stays of more than one week, a mid-term clean and linen change can be requested at an additional cost. This is compulsory for stays of more than a fortnight.
PAYMENT: We ask for 25 percent of the total stay price immediately on booking (payable by BACS, Paypal or cheque) and the remaining 75pc plus a £100 security deposit six weeks before arrival. The deposit is refunded within two weeks of your stay, often sooner.
This is a non-smoking apartment and pets are not allowed.
It is not ideal for children under school age but families with toddlers have happily stayed here (ask owner for details).
There is an additional cost of £15 per night should you wish to use the sofa bed in the living room for a fifth guest. However, there are only four dining chairs!

Perfect Apartment in Great Location
By Greg B on 15-Aug-2023This is a wonderful apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean, updated, and modern. Felt very cozy. There is a grocery store 2 minutes away around the corner. The location is great with all the fun sights of York just a short walk away. We took a day trip to Thirsk for the James Herriot "All Creatures Great and Small" museum. I would highly recommend it.
