Description
If you are looking for lochside holiday accommodation for a romantic break or family holiday then Schiehallion Lodge may well be the perfect choice. Sleeping up to four guests in two bedrooms (both en-suite) the accommodation is superbly equipped to four star standards.Schiehallion Lodge is one of just a handful of holiday properties at Bracken Lodges on Loch Tay. Delightfully situated the lodges are set in a tranquil and peaceful setting on the south banks of Loch Tay. If you can bring yourself to leave this idyllic location the picturesque villages of Kenmore, Killin and Aberfeldy are all nearby.
All lodges are pet free.
The lodges are situated in an elevated position within 40 acres of wooded parkland and our lochside location is surrounded by beautiful walks. There is free fishing for trout (seasonal) from the loch frontage which has a private beach where you can enjoy a barbeque amidst the breathtaking scenery.
The small town of Aberfeldy is also nearby with its many facilities including the Birk's cinema, swimming pool, playpark and Dewar's distillery. Hillwalking, cycling, golfing, watersports, whitewater rafting are all available or why not visit of one the many award winning visitor attractions in the area, like the unique Scottish Crannog Centre or Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
Loch Tay's natural beauty and abundant wildlife make it a very popular tourist attraction and provide easy access to a number of munros in the area, including of course, Ben Lawers, Schiehallion, Ben More and Ben Lui.
Our location is also easily accessible to enjoy days out a little further a field to Pitlochry, Perth, Callander, Inverness, Inveraray, Stirling, Oban, Glencoe and Fort William. Bracken Lodges is an excellent location to relax and unwind or to enjoy an activity based holiday in the beautiful part of Highland Perthshire.

What a find!
By Anna on 20-Sep-2025" What a find! We've had a brilliant holiday staying in this exceptional lodge. Everything is to a very high standard and all the little thoughtful touches make this one of the best places we've stayed in. We'll miss the ever changing view from the windows and seeing all the wildlife - woodpeckers, hare, buzzards, roe deer and red squirrels all in close proximity to the lodge. We've visited Glencoe, Glen Etive and would also recommend Castle Menzies, Doune Castle and the beautiful drive through Glen Lyon. The Falls of Acharn and the Crannog Centre are also well worth a visit. Thank you so much, we hope to be back - (actually - we don't really want to leave!)

Spent most of our week sitting on the balcony watching birds, deer, sheep, pine martens, red squirrels and hedgehogs. Can't believe we found this little treasure on the internet... we will be back!"
Our first visit to Bracken Lodges, Loch Tay

Stunning views from every window and immaculately presented lodges with everything you require for a self-catering break. So many beautiful places to visit but almost an effort to leave our cosy lodge. We have seen red deer, a red squirrel and pheasants all from our lodge. Thank you!
