Description
Ty Gwilym was originally an old farmhouse and makes a lovely self catering holiday cottage in St Davids. It has three double bedrooms. The spacious accommodation includes a lovely sitting room with original fireplace, wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and chairs, Sony digital TV, DVD, CD player with iPod connection and free Wi-fi.The quarry tiled hall has lovely views of the Cathedral and the fully equipped kitchen provides a large pine table and chairs, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, twin electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. The downstairs utility room, with separate shower, WC, washing machine and Belfast sink, gives stable door access to the sunny courtyard and south-facing garden.
Upstairs are three double bedrooms with comfortable beds (one 6ft super king-sized or 2 x 3ft singles; and two doubles). All rooms have a wash hand basin and pocket sprung mattresses and the third has an en-suite shower room and far reaching views to the coast. We provide cotton sheets with feather and down duvets and pillows. The large, luxury family bathroom has a separate Hansgrohe shower and bath, WC and large basin.
There is an upstairs sitting room with desk and two comfortable chairs and lovely views over the Cathedral and distant countryside.
The cottage benefits from gas central heating, garden furniture, two secluded seating areas and good off street car parking.
Ty Gwilym is strictly for non-smokers and we take bookings for short breaks during the low season, from November to February. Our cottages don’t accept pets.

Perfect in Every Way

On one of the hottest weeks of the heatwave its wide stone walls, and large airy rooms provided a cool haven to return to. Plentiful hot water and an excellent heating boiler and log fire would reciprocate in colder times. Big kitchen diner with all high end equipment NEFF ovens, Miele dishwasher etc. Excellent beds, large wardrobes, good shower and bath. Excellent Wi Fi. Location perfect - view to Cathedral from garden and landing window - short walk down hill from The Pebbles; pub with food 50 yards down the hill; food shops including excellent deli up 100 yards up the hill. Lovely garden. Access to parking courtyard challenging if you have a large car but free parking in The pebbles 200 yards away. St Davids itself - a relaxing Jewel of a tiny Cathedral City surrounded by marvelous countryside; beaches; coastal walks; island trips; inland walks in the Preseli Hills. So much to do or just a relaxing stroll to the garden tea room at St Davids Cross Hotel by the square. One of the nicest holidays we've had in a long time.
Idyllic Holiday Cottage
By Huw on 30-May-2026Lovely cosy, welcoming building situated in Goat Street, St David's. Exceptionally tidy and very clean. All equipment provided to insure a seamless stay, and the necessary items provided are of a very high standard. Tastefully decorated. Sufficient showering/bathing facilities for a fully occupied stay. Any queries are rectified by Dawn who is an exceptionally efficient lady. Staying here makes our holiday a very enjoyable experience year after year.

Amazing
By Ann, Tallahassee on 29-Sep-2023We enjoyed our stay at Hamish''''''''s cottage. Our rooms with private baths were amazing. The beds were super comfortable. We really enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and cooked many meals there. The view of the cathedral was a bonus!! We enjoyed the garden and the beautiful hydrangeas, rosemary and lavendar that were blooming. Saint Davids is a friendly little city. The Goat Street gallery was a favourite as well as meeting some locals who took us under their wing one rainy day at the wool factory!! The hiking was very convenient and amazing. We will be back to the Pembrokeshire coast and Hamish''''''''s.
Our third stay

The house is well equipped and perfectly located for walks and beaches in and around St David''''''''s. We had amazing weather and made good use of the lovely garden overlooking the cathedral. Comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out make it a great property for families.
