Idyllic Cottage and Location
By Ruth on 10-Jul-2026We had a fantastic week at Ty Lilian with our two dogs. The cottage is incredibly welcoming and has the true feeling of a loved home. Dr Esme Watkinson was great at replying to any questions we had before arriving and the whole booking process was very easy and straightforward. The large garden was great for us and the dogs, with views down to the sea and with remarkable sunsets that could be seen from the small viewing deck at the end of the garden. Ty Lilian is situated in a great location - it's less than 10 minutes' walk to Aberreidy beach, where there is a lovely sandy beach with rock pools. We also enjoyed walking to The Blue Lagoon and onto Porthgain (two excellent pubs/restaurants) - about an hour. There are amazing walks from the cottage or other starting points by car along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path making it a delightful place to explore this gorgeous part of the world.
Home from home
By Kevin and Sharon on 07-May-2026We love this traditional Pembrokeshire cottage it’s a step back in time, if you remember Enid Blytons Famous five books staying at Ty Lilian will take you straight back there. We have stayed a number of times. The cosy furnishings and decor are as the family stepped out and you step in, to a place time forgot. It’s the most relaxing place we know. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and gadgets for any cook to enjoy cooking there and a large dining area enables formal entertaining for a larger number and two fridges are very handy when we’ve had visitors. Good comfy beds and crisp linen that always promises a good night sleep. For colder evenings the woodburner kicks out a lot of heat in the shabby chic living room a great place to kick off your shoes and enjoy a glass of wine, tv is available and WiFi is good. Then there is the garden which is a fantastic large space with decking at the far end overlooking Aberiddy bay with it’s spectacular coastline this area delivers walking, beaches, adventure break if you like to be active and so much more… Plus you can bring your furry friends on holiday too our terriers are so excited when we arrive just as we are. This is the first time we have reviewed Ty Lilian - we were keeping it a secret!
Perfect
By Eileen on 22-May-2026Owner was exceptionally helpful. Lovely cottage, idyllic situation, and wonderful outdoor space-garden. Beds very comfortable, lovely quality sheets/bedding. Kitchen very well equipped and with every convenience required for a perfect stay. Only thing to mention and in no way a criticism, merely something to be aware of, the one upstairs bedroom is accessed via a tight spiral staircase which could be difficult for some. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 dogs and all had a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back. 😁🌅
Delightful cottage, great location
By Ray Oldham on 20-Dec-2025We have stayed here many times and always have a wonderful time, the cottage is so cosy and homely, situated by the coast. Thoroughly recommended.
