Description
Corner House in Hay on Wye sleeps between two and six in four bedrooms. It is a lovely three-storey, end-of-terrace Edwardian property situated opposite the mediaeval church. It has been fully renovated and refurbished and is a short walk from the centre of Hay.The house has a large kitchen dining room and a cosy open-plan sitting room with wood burning stove – all wood supplied free – and with good reading lights. There’s a chest full of games and jigsaw puzzles.
On the first floor is a double bedroom, two single bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. On the second floor is a large light double room with king-size bed with bathroom adjoining.
The sunny, slate tiled courtyard garden is overlooked by vines and wisteria, with teak garden furniture, sun loungers and parasol.
The house is just a couple of minutes’ stroll from the centre of Hay with its world-famous bookshops, cafés, castle, vintage shops and cinema. There are great walks from the front door into the surrounding hills and down to the lovely river Wye, with swimming and canoeing. There are three free public tennis courts and cycle hire nearby.
Short lets are from Friday - Monday and Monday - Friday (minimum three nights stay) or per week from Mondays or Fridays. We offer reductions on the advertised price for whole week bookings so do contact us., also there’s a 10% reduction for couples who use one double bedroom only outside of peak periods.

We have had a wonderful few weeks here and will miss the sound of sheep and the sweet smelling bracken,, seriously good hikes and bookshop browsing.
