We stayed here for 3 months whilst researching the area with a view to buying a property and we could not have chosen a better location Located in a quiet urbanisation just off the A7, it is 5 minutes to Fuengirola, the beach, the Miramar shopping centre and less than 20 minutes to Malaga airport in one direction or Marbella in the other The property is very close to lots of amenities, but for us the outstanding benefit is that it backs on to beautiful open countryside and with two dogs this proved invaluable, we could walk the dogs for miles along the many tracks. There is also a dog beach 5 minutes away The property is South facing and therefore very bright and sunny and it has a lovely terrace with dining table and chairs, garden furniture and a built in bbq - we ate lunch outside everyday even in December! It is very well equipped with everything you need for a long or short term let and the owners are very friendly and always available to give help and advice if you need it. We recommend this property - and for anyone with pets it is ideal
Loved the garden/patio which gets the sun all day and very sheltered. Plenty of country walks available directly from the house. Great for dogs. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of indoor and outdoor table space for entertaining. Located a steep walk up the hill from the beach/town/ Myramar shopping centre. No problem for me but may be difficult for older guest if the did not have a car. Taxi ride is easily available and cheap. Considerate and reliable owners who live next door. Very secure. Good internet service. Overall really enjoyed my stay and will return.
We had a reservation for 6 nights but felt compelled to leave after just one night due to a lack of cleanliness in the living / dining area and with bed linen. The chief problem appeared to be that neighbouring cats in this residential area were marking territory in both front and rear garden areas and gaining access to the property through the wrought iron grills when vacant, leaving hair and a distinctly catty odour both outside and within the property. The outdoor furniture on the upstairs balcony was clearly a favoured spot for the cats and left me dislinclined to use the worn seating there. The sheets in the master bedroom were marked and did not smell fresh and on trying to swap these with linen in the spare bedroom, I found these to be little better. The pillows/cushions in the spare room were greasy and, in my opinion, unusable. I did not feel comfortable in the house with my partner and toddler so we were forced to find alternative accommodation at considerable cost and stress. In fairness to Susanne, she listened to my complaints and offered a partial refund, acknowledging that cats are an issue at the property. She also provided excellent communication in advance of our stay and the property was spacious, well-equipped, tasteful and with decent quality of furnishings. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of towels and hot water. But all these positive attributes didn’t make up for the smell of cats, concerns over cleanliness and the marked furnishings and bed linen. A woeful start to our short family holiday.
