We have just spent a week at Kingfisher holiday cottage, with my partner, kids and her elderly parents. The cottage itself is a fantastic place to stay, it’s spotless; 2 bathrooms was brilliant as the parents had there own and we had ours. the kitchen and open plan front room was perfect, everything in the kitchen that you needed, spacious rooms for the kids and a garden with a stream close by that they could walk in. It’s situated on a lovely site, great food in the restaurant and close to everything. Lyn the owner was helpful as she recommended places to eat and go to with the kids, she’s been a real help as if you don’t know the area recommendations always help. Inside the cottage is also a folder with everything in. That’s a bonus as most places don’t do this We will 100% be coming back next year. It deserves 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend this place to anyone and thankyou for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage . Josh R – October 2022 – Facebook We have just returned from our 2 weeks holiday in stunning Pendra Loweth and wished we could have stayed longer. Kingfisher cottage was delightful, super clean, modern with spacious open plan living downstairs. Kitchen had everything needed for a large family to cook and bake, loved the extra drink fridge. Beds were as comfortable as ours at home. Very private, little garden had sun all day, delicate sounds of the stream at the bottom of the garden and the sun loungers always made us fall asleep in the afternoon. It was a perfect location for our get aways. Maenporth was our favourite, unspoiled beach, excellent for SUP and Kayaking all day. Trebah Gardens and NT Glendurgan Gardens were only 20 min away with wonderful shaded areas for rest and beaches to enjoy swimming with kids and dogs. We drove to Lizards Point, St Ives and Eden Project. Our kids age 12 and 16 both found it fun, loved the freedom of the outdoors especially walking, cycling and swimming. We found most places allowed dogs including fabulous The Cove and Hooked on the rocks ( we loved their lobsters, crabs, oysters and fish). Pandora Inn also offered amazing food in beautiful setting, all definitely worth a visit. We also took a little ferry across from Falmouth to St Mawes for a lovely day out. Still lots more to see so we have booked 2 weeks next year and hope we can also reserve the same amount of sunshine. The owners were very kind, quick in responding and offered loads of helpful information. It was not just as described but better, Lyn and Mark really do make sure that guests have a wonderful stay. We followed many of their recommendations, which were all dog friendly and as a result we could not have had a better week! The food at the site cafe was excellent, the walks in the area fabulous (a little muddy in parts due to the time of year), we also enjoyed visiting the Seal Sanctuary, Via Ferrata, St Mawes using the Ferry followed by coastal walk and Mrs V’s tearoom, Food at Indidog and the Ferry Inn just to name a couple… It really is a beautiful part of the world and you could not wish for better accommodation.
