We had a fantastic stay at The Stables. Communication was very prompt and everything was as we expected. Living areas are huge and great for a group, everyone had lots of space. The property is convenient for the mountains of the Lake District (45 minutes to Wasdale Head), and very near the coast (St. Bees beach 15 minutes). Highly recommended!
A great house for stepping off to discover the beautiful Lake District with all the outdoors has to offer including cycling on the Coast to Coast cycle route which almost goes past the house. The house was fantastically equipped and super comfortable. Our group of 8 couldn't have had a better time. All communication with the owners was efficient and timely.
Our family had a fantastic time staying at the Stables. The house had everything we could possibly need for our children. So many toys, books and extras available to keep them entertained during the rainy days. It was extremely spacious too so we never felt like we were on top of one another. Very clean, nicely decorated, fully stocked kitchen and great amenities. Owners have obviously gone the extra mile to make it the most comfortable family home. Would happily come back again for another stay and explore the area further.
We had a great holiday staying in the most wonderful house. The house is spacious, very well equipped, very comfortable beds, huge kitchen , and ib a very desirable area , near Ennerdale lake, and Whitehaven, for supermarkets, and other shops,. We really cannot fault anything....Sally was very helpful. Thank you.

We stayed for a week and couldn't have asked for more from accommodation. The house is beautiful and have thought of meeting needs of adults and children. Sally (the owner) is available should you need her. The location is well situated to explore the Lakes. St Bees was really close and a lovely walk. Casa a Roma in Whitehaven is a lovely Italian Restaurant only 10 mins away. Would highly recommend!
