4 bed, 3 bath Home Located In Historic Courtyard Near Ennerdale Lake. The beaches are a mere 10 minute drive away.

The Stables is an eye catching recent conversion which was originally part of the stable block of the Dower House of Rheda Mansion. It is incredibly spacious and offers four bedrooms, with three bathrooms, all well maintained and loved! Downstairs there is a very large, exceptionally well stocked kitchen/diner/snug, laundry, study/toy room, shower room and a large sitting room with open fire. Upstairs there are four generous bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with a hallway area with two cots and a changing table. We can provide by special arrangement, a large very comfortable full size folding bed with mattress topper, downstairs, ideal for guests with limited mobility. We welcome two well behaved dogs. The house is perfect for families, couples and/or grandparents - the choice is yours!

The Stables is ideally situated to explore the Western lakes; Ennerdale, Buttermere and Keswick are not far. Whitehaven, the nearest town is four miles away, Cockermouth 10 miles away plus the beaches are less than 5 miles. This area is not as hectically busy as the more popular Lake District and offers lakes, mountains and sea, all without the crowds. The C2C cycle/walking track almost runs past the house and offers miles of scenery. Prices vary depending on the time of year and our minimum stay is normally seven nights. However, depending on availability, we might be able to offer four or five days, at a different daily rate.

We stayed for a week and couldn't have asked for more from accommodation. The house is beautiful and have thought of meeting needs of adults and children. Sally (the owner) is available should you need her.
The location is well situated to explore the Lakes. St Bees was really close and a lovely walk. Casa a Roma in Whitehaven is a lovely Italian Restaurant only 10 mins away.
Would highly recommend!

The house is everything it is shown to be in the advertisement. A beautiful house, well equipped. Although she wasn’t local the owner was regularly in contact checking that everything was ok.

We had a great holiday in the area and would stay here again.

Fantastic spacious stay!

We stayed with another family in The Stables and it was perfect - we each had plenty of space to ourselves but when it came to entertaining, the kitchen was ideal. We had older children in our party however younger children are very well catered for with a playroom containing plenty of books and toys.
Communication with Sally was excellent and easy and nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely recommend.

his is a very nice spacious property, ideal for a hosting a large group looking to explore the westside of the lake district and the coast. The house has an awesome kitchen with lots of kit for cooking and loads of plates/glasses - everything you could every want.

Fabulous house!

The property is spacious and superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen in particular has every implement and a plentiful supply of crockery, glassware, and a large fridge and cooker. The place was spotless and the bottle of wine on arrival was a welcome touch. The family enjoyed gathering here and it is a very child friendly home with toys that our grandchildren loved. Thank you for such welcoming hospitality.
