The property was absolutely stunning. We cannot fault our stay at Jopes Mill. Nick was very welcoming and left us to it but would have been on hand if we needed any info. We were greated by Nick who gave us a tour around the property and also gave us an info booklet with all the local places that would be helpful during our stay. As well as suggestions of places to dine and visit. We even had a complimentary cream tea waiting for us on arrival. We were blown away by the garden/grounds of Jopes Mill. The river, the patio/bbq area, the fire pit, the water Lilly pond were all so well kept and beautiful! We wish we had more time to spend at Jopes Mill. We hope to visit hear again soon. And i would recommend Jopes Mill to anyone wanting to visit Cornwall.
We stayed in the Mill for two weeks in September 2021. We found Nick & Sally perfect hosts, nothing was to much trouble and the accommodation was perfect. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and more, the only thing missing was the instructions for the cooker and microwave which Nick said he would remedy. The beds were very comfortable & the bathrooms were clean and well equipped, in fact the whole place was clean and well equipped, you cant't say more. It is ideally situated to tour the south of Cornwall which we did, and after a hard day, we returned to relax with a G&T in the grounds of this idyllic spot
We recently stayed at Jopes Mill renting both the Mill and Lodge together. We are a family with two children aged 9 & 11 and stayed along with the grandparents in late July 2021. Jopes Mill is in a lovely rural setting and renting both houses worked perfectly for our group as the two spaces were very complimentary. The Mill especially felt very spacious and a unique interior. The lodge was lovely and bright looking out onto the lawn and stream. We made use of the Lodge’s outside veranda for evening dining and the Mill's dining room for breakfast and the odd cooler day. Both the Lodge and Mill were newly and nicely furnished throughout with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Our children loved exploring the woods, lily lake and playing in the stream. Recommended nearby activities were the zipwire at Adrenaline Quarry (for the kids), Golitha falls (a lovely walk) and the Talland Bay to Polperro walk with a stop for lunch in the garden terrace of The Three Pilchards pub.
