Description

Lots of availability this Autumn for mini breaks. Message for a swift response.
Vineyard Street is a picture postcard street in the heart of the Anglo-Saxon town of Winchcombe in the North Cotswolds. Summer is a perfect time to visit the Cotswolds with so much going on in the festival town of Cheltenham only 6 miles away. We are perfectly located for visiting the beautiful villages of Broadway, Stow in the Wold, the Slaughters and Bourton-on-the-Water. (the Venice of the Cotswolds).
If you like classic cars you will love Prescott. Prescott Hill Climb is just a short drive away in a neighbouring village and if the weather is fine there is nothing better than a day with a picnic on the hillside watching the classic cars race up the circuit. If Steam Trains take your fancy, we are well positioned with Winchcombe's very own steam train and station. The Gloucestershire Steam Railway website will have more information and a timetable of events. A little further afield but all within an hour's drive is Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Place and the beautiful city of Oxford. in 2021 Winchcombe hit the headlines with its very own meteorite shower. A piece is on show in our very own town museum.

Paul and Amanda have lovingly restored this former wool cottage into a boutique two bedroom cottage with all the modern fixtures and fittings required by our discerning guests. The property has a stunning private courtyard garden which is a perfect retreat to listen to the bells of St Peter's at sundown. Winchcombe is well situated for further exploration of the Cotswolds.
Please note this is a dog free property. No pets allowed.

The downstairs bathroom, in keeping with properties of this time has a full size bath and stand alone shower, underfloor heating & heated towel rail to warm your luxurious White Company Towels. On the first floor the 'Feather and Black' King Size Bed welcomes the weary traveller with Egyptian Cotton White Company Bedlinen. A staircase leads off bedroom one to bedroom two on the second floor. This small bedroom has been cleverly laid out to fit two full size single beds, a small dresser and underbed storage is provided. Again The White Company Bedlinen and Towels are provided for up to four guests. No detail has been forgotten and the property is fortunate to have many returning guests year after year.

A great place to stay.

By Robert on 28-Mar-2023

A great place to stay, good location for walking including the Cotswold Way and close to the town. Best of both worlds the cottage is very old and interesting, but the kitchen and bathroom are very smart and modern. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep though.

A spotless, little cottage

By Nicky on 07-Mar-2023

A spotless, little cottage. Very comfortable and perfect for two. The shower was wonderful. The most amazing spot in Winchcombe, perfect for walking out from and visiting the surrounding area. Parking was not a problem in February, we parked a little way along the lane or in front of the cottage. A pint of milk in the fridge, ready for a much needed drink on arrival would have made it more than perfect, but shops only, a few steps away. Fully recommend this beautiful little place. Wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Felt like home

By John on 16-Feb-2023

From the minute you walk in the cottage feels like home. Great communication from the host and instructions in the welcome pack were great. The village is very well situated for first time visitors to the Cotswolds and there is loads to do in the area.
