WONDERFUL STAY IN BEAUTIFUL VILLA
By JULES on 02-Mar-2026We can't fault our stay, from the welcome gifts Heather left to the speedy communication we received, everything was superb. We had a problem on arrival as there had been a storm, so panicked a bit but Heather replied immediately and it was sorted in minutes (electricity had tripped due to big thunder storm). The gite is just beautiful, really comfortable and stylish and you can see they've gone for quality - from the lovely comfortable sofas, superb dining furniture to the superbly comfortable beds (such a relief as so many times we've stayed in places with uncomfortable cheap beds!). Really surprised to be writing a review like this TBH as we are terribly fussy about where we stay. Being in the centre of this marvellous medieval town was fantastic, with it's great cafes, restaurants, shops and bakeries, it was important to us to walk to everything, it's part of the joy of being on holiday for us. You get a bit of traffic noise occasionally but that doesn't bother us as we'd rather have that any day than be in the middle of nowhere and having to drive everywhere. The kids loved the steam train and the Reptiland. But what sets this place apart is the jacuzzi, the decking and garden - it is just fabulous! The outside dining with seating for 8, the sofas were perfect as it is very hot here. There were 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids) and with all of us in the jacuzzi, there was still room. Never been keen on jacuzzi's before but this is so big it's like a plunge pool and also warm enough not to have to light the wood burner. We are already booked for next year as we only had a week there, and it's not enough as this area is stunning and so much to do within an hour's drive. Hope this is helpful to other holidaymakers as this is a rare place, it's honestly written, no fake photos and real quality.
