This was absolutely the best equipped cottage that we have stayed in and spotlessly clean.
Another Great time at Bramblewood :-)

Brilliant weather and a great time staying at Bramblewood cottage again. The cottage is a great base for a family holiday with lots of trips to Crooklets Beach (our favourite ) and returning for great fun in the on site pool and playing fields. The cottage itself was up to its usual great standards and a lovely bottle of red waiting to be opened in the evening after your first day at the beach. Looking forward to visiting again next year x
Excellent week in Bramblewood Cottage
By Alan D on 15-Jun-2019
Bramblewood is a lovely cottage ideally located for the outstanding Atlantic coastline of North Cornwall and Devon. We enjoyed several breathtaking coastal walks, taking in picturesque villages, dramatic cliffs and impressive waterfalls. The local beaches are beautiful, but as the weather was not quite hot enough, the on site heated pool was a better alternative. The water was lovely and warm and the changing areas and showers were clean and well maintained. The cottage is in a lovely quiet area yet within 10 minutes walk of a pub serving very good food. The town of Bude is only five minutes drive away.
Bramblewood Cottage itself was bright, modern and spotlessly clean. The furniture, kitchen equipment and beds were second-to-none. Both bathrooms were spacious and up to date and the power shower produced a deluge of piping hot water. The enclosed garden was a lovely place to sit out on the evenings when the sun was shining.
We enjoyed our visit to Bramblewood enormously and will certainly return in the near future. Highly recommended!

Three bedroom cottage perfect for three old school chums hiking and sightseeing.
Suitably off the beaten track if you like peace and quite. Excellent play area for the little ones plus large indoor pool with very clean changing facilities.
Plenty of parking. Decent pub is 10 mins walk (take a torch after dark). Bude is 5 mins in car.
A relaxing week in a perfect cottage!

Just returned from a weeks stay in Bramblewood cottage. Cottage has everything you need and more pool, games room, play area and beautiful gardens. Great communication with owner makes it an easy process when booking. A special place that has emabled us to make lots of special memories with our family and friends!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bramblewood. The cottage was spacious, clean, warm and had some great touches such as the milk in the fridge on arrival! The games room and swimming pool were also great for our 12 year old boys. We hope to be back at some point.

We have had a wonderful time here as a family!
Everything is just as described on their website and the booking process is really easy and very professional. Katherine has fab communication and provides you with so much information and advice. The cottage itself was perfect, there was everything we could have needed! Especially travelling with a 7 month old, everything has been really well thought about. The cottage was extremely clean (and I’m very fussy! ) and for us knowing that they don’t allow pets was great. The grounds, playground, swimming pool and games room are all kept lovely and we had great use out of them all! We will defo come again and would definitely recommend! Thank you for a wonderful holiday full of special memories made!
Really nice and excellent facilities

I took my family to stay in Bramblewood over the Xmas and NY period and the facilities and location are all fantastic! On arrival all you need is located in the kitchen with all the extras to support all your cooking needs. Milk, tea and coffee and chocolate for the children was a nice touch. The swimming pool and games room are both safe and excellent for the children and the whole environment is safe and perfect for families. The house is a great size and all bedrooms are clean, tidy and like being in your own home..enjoy as its a great place..

We had a great Christmas break here. It is wonderful for families and the children loved the play area and the pool. The location is very good for access to Bude and nearby beaches. Katherine is a very helpful and thoughtful host.
Bramblewood Cottage Weekend
By B4317NTclairet on 21-Nov-2018
Bramblewood Cottage is superbly located near the swimming pool, amenities and parking. The owners have thought of everything including DVD's, games and books for the unpredictable Cornish weather. We had glorious sunshine and crystal clear skies in the middle of November! Fish and chip supper at the local pub. A refreshing, comfortable weekend, highly recommended and look forward to returning.
Blackberry & Bramblewood

We booked both cottages for the last week of August. A blast of proper Cornwall before the grandchildren started back to school. My 3 daughters,6 grandchildren (3 to 11), husband and me.........plenty of room for us all. The hot weather ended the weekend we arrived! Pouring with rain our first day. But, we had a great time. Using the swimming pool, the games room (table tennis, pool table), the kids play area everyday. Plenty of kids board games etc in each cottage too. Everything so well maintained. The houses perfectly clean on our arrival. Renee and the ‘gardener’ so friendly and helpful. All the beaches we needed close by and beautiful. We love Bude........eldest grandson managed to hit his target of a pasty a day (me too I think!). Lovely garden space and big play area. Our grandchildren loved ‘hanging out’/chatting/clambering/ playing hide and seek out there. Had the weather been better we would have spent lots more time eating outside........tables etc all provided in the lovely garden. Lots of safe outside space for the children. As we left our 11 yr old said he’d really loved the holiday and hadn’t missed his ‘ds’ (computer games?) at all. Brilliant!!! Thanks, also, to Katherine (owner) who was so efficient, friendly and helpful in all her communications re booking etc.

Really well appointed cottage, and great to have the communal play area, pool and games room on site. Close enough to walk to the nearest beach, roughly 30 - 45 minutes. Or a 5 minute drive.
Our 2nd visit!
By MummyandKids on 02-Sep-2018
Our family of 5 loved last year so much we booked again the day we came back AND the same this year!!
With a wide age range of children to please in our summer holiday it’s simetimes difficult. Not so here! The older two - and myself - enjoyed surf school and the younger one enjoyed crabbing and playing on the beach with Daddy. There really is something for everyone.
We went swimming everyday in the on site pool which was so convenient. The local pub took us only a few minutes to walk to a couple of evenings and the rest of the time Mr Tesco was happy to deliver enough food to us to help keep costs down. The kitchen is so easy to use and has everything you could possibly need. We feel completely comfortable, happy and welcome here again! We can’t wait for next year!!

Bramblewood Cottage, at Trevalgas Cottages, is a wonderful place to take a holiday. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, with clean modern facilities throughout. The gardens were immaculate, with access to children’s play area. The swimming pool, and changing rooms, were clean and child friendly. Trevalgas, is set in countryside, but close enough to shops and a pub if required. We had a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.
By Dominic on 22-Jul-2018
We had 2 families stay in Bramblewood Cottage (7 people in total including kids and a baby) and we couldn’t have been happier with it. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The fact the children could just go out of the (larger than expected) garden straight into the play area was a bonus. And all the little touches that were included to make life easier from having tea and milk in the fridge on arrival, to having board games and dvds to fall back on in those moments where the children weren’t content(!) made the whole experience so much more personal and made our holiday. Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely consider coming back in the future. Thank you to Katherine, and Renee for being so helpful and approachable.

Lovely family friendly venue - great play park and swimming pool - close to Bude which has amongst other things a fantastic sea poo

Great place to stay, Bramblewood was very comfy and home from home. The pool and games room were a great asset.

Great holiday cottage with excellent facilities. Lots to do around the area. Pool and play area were great. Be sure to get some free range eggs from the neighbours for an excellent breakfast!

So spoilt here. Stayed in both cottages numerous times over many years. So clean, loads of little extras, warm, cosy, quiet, relaxing. We love it. Huge indoor pool. Games room. Laundry room. Lovely walks. Near the beach. (Stayed in Blackberry & Bramblewood Cottages)
By Graham C on 03-Oct-2017
We had a great week staying in Bramblewood Cottage, the cottage is very comfortable and spacious and well equipped for our stay. Great information provided about the cottage, and being able to have groceries delivered for our arrival was really helpful. The onsite swimming pool was a fantastic facility, with Noodles/floats/footballs etc to help keep our son happy. This is a great base with a lot of activities in easy reach, the town of Bude is only 5 minutes away and has some good beaches, shops/cafes etc and there was a recomended beach within 10 minutes drive where there is a great cafe doing food. We would highly recomend a trip over into Devon to visit the Big Sheep (40 minute drive), a great working farm with regular shows/activities; softplay etc, perfect to keep children entertained, even in the rain.
Good place to stay

Had a great week at Bramblewood Cottage. A comfortable cottage in an ideal location. The site itself is very well maintained and tidy. Well impressed with the pool as were our two teenage grandchildren. Enjoyed our meal at the Preston Arms and also a couple of meals at the Falcon Hotel. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves so much they want us to take them again next year which says it all.
Fantastic place to stay
By Oliver317 on 02-Sep-2017
We had a fantastic time staying for a week in Bramblewood. The cottage itself has 3 good sized bedrooms, a living room/dining room and a kitchen. It is very well furnished, stocked with books, games ect., and on site there is a shared swimming pool and games room, plus a laundry. Everything is very clean and well-maintained.
The cottage is in a great location - situated amongst wooded valleys and narrow country lanes with some great views over the hills and towards the coast. An assortment of foot paths and trails criss-cross the area, providing pleasant walking routes and meaning you are never forced to come into contact with the main roads. If you are prepared to do so, however, the local golf club, which is particularly suited to first-timers and amateur golfers as we were, is only a few minute drive away. Slightly further afield is the excellent town of Bude and the beach, which offers the opportunity to learn to surf with, in our case, a minor but satisfactory level of success. Closer to home, the cottage is a few minutes walk away from the lovely village of Poughill, of which the Preston Gate Inn is a particular feature, serving fantastic pub food with occasional live music.
Bramblewood cottage served as a very comfortable and convenient base for our holiday, and I would certainly stay there again. Highly recommended.
Had a great time near Bude
By ChrisG7407 on 01-Sep-2017
I stayed in Bramblewood Cottage in June 2017 and had a great time. There's plenty of room with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large open plan sitting room/kitchen dining room. Lots of room outside to wash and dry wetsuits and surfboards/bodyboards. The cottage was well looked after and spotless when we arrived too!
Just behind the cottage is a field with an adventure playground, swings and plenty of space for boules, shared between all the cottages.
The cottages are under 10 minutes drive to the beaches and surfing at Bude, and there's plenty of golf courses within a short drive. It's also an 8 minute walk to a lovely, pub in Poughill with great pub food. There's much more around Bude and North Cornwall that I didn't have time to see too.
There is also a large indoor pool shared between the cottages, which is much warmer than an outdoor pool in Cornwall! I can't speak for the other cottages but Bramblewood was also well equipped with wifi and with DVDs which were very useful if it rained!
Overall I had a great time here and think that it was a perfect place to explore north Cornwall and the surrounding area and a great place to come back to each night.

We rented out the bramblewood property, it felt like home from home. The property contained all the things we required with a lovely garden as well, which we used to have a bbq. The properties are located in a very quiet location which was very pleasant and relaxing. We used the pool and the game room nearly every day.
Sunsets, Surfing and Sandcastles
By MummyandKids on 28-Aug-2017
My family and I have just returned from our stay in Bramblewood Cottage. Everything was clean, cosy, accessible and well stocked when we checked in at 3pm. We initially arrived at 10am after having left home at 5am and the lovely housekeeper Renee and her daughter made us feel very welcome and allowed us to use the toilets even though we were way too early for check in - nothing was too much trouble and we were very grateful.
We used Freewave Surf Academy for our older children on Widemouth Beach and they loved it. They were standing up and surfing within 15 minutes of entering the water!!
Beds at the cottage were very comfortable. We ordered our shopping beforehand to be delivered from Tesco's online so we didn't waste time supermarket shopping.
Sunsets on this coast are beautiful and we watched them from various beaches every evening.
We had a wonderful holiday and have already rebooked for next year!!!
Bramblewood and Blackberry Cottages

We had a brilliant holiday. Situated right out in the countryside, so peaceful yet near to all the amenities and amusement parks. Cottage very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Made good use of the games room and pool. Thank you so much Kathrine, we look forward to booking with you again

Had a lovely week staying in Bramblewood Cottage! Amazing, cosy and comfortable cottage with brilliant on site facilities and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. They even left Easter eggs for the children as it was Easter week. Friendly, homely touch!

I've stayed in both Blackberry and Bramblewood and both are excellent. They're furnished with everything you could need; the kitchen is particularly well-equipped for self-catering (and there's tupperware/cling film/foil so you can prepare packed lunches for day trips which is very handy). The heated on-site pool is brilliant and a 30 second walk away, and there's a table tennis table, laundry area, and outside areas for children to run around in. Parking is right next to the cottages. The Preston Gate Inn in Poughill is within walking distance (good for a pub meal out or just drinks) and Bude is a very short drive away. The cottage has always been immaculate on arrival, with added bonuses such as complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Wifi was fine in the cottage and speedy in the pool building. The cottages are a great location for having a countryside feel while simultaneously being very close to Bude's beaches, supermarkets, etc., and the owners provide a visitors' book to share comments about days out, as well as various guides and pamphlets to help plan day trips (good places to go include down the coast to Port Isaac/Padstow etc, to Dartmoor, and to the Eden Project, all of which can be reached within 1.5 hours). Overall highly recommended.
