Description
This beautiful, tranquil and well renovated holiday home is located 25km south of the Dordogne River amid gently rolling hills, orchards and vineyards. This charming property comprises 2 bedrooms and is situated near many Bastide towns including Castillonnes; Eymet; Issigeac; Lauzun; Monpazier and Monflanquin.The cottage features its own private garden which boasts far reaching views and secure parking. There is also a large gated (heated) swimming pool, a large patio with barbecue, plus outdoor furniture equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. For entertainment, there is also a table tennis table, football and badminton/volleyball nets, safe archery and boule.

A fantastic cottage
By Marie Grubb on 06-Jun-2026We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at this lovely cottage. The property was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The surroundings are gorgeous, and the hosts Trevor and Penny were so welcoming and helpful. We especially loved relaxing in the pool and garden and would absolutely stay here again. The welcome gift of wine, cheese, bread and milk was a welcomed gesture. The bar in the village was very good for food and drinks , open on select days. We loved visiting the local markets of Eymet and Issigaec.
Fantastic cottage, gorgeous location, wonderful pool!
By Sarah & John on 23-May-2026Spent two brilliant weeks here and can't recommend it highly enough! The owners are so lovely, very helpful and kind, and the cottage has everything you could possibly need for a calm and relaxing holiday, including UK Freesat TV if you want to catch up (or not!), plus washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. The beds are also very comfortable! The aircon is a real bonus, especially as the weather was very hot when we were there; the private pool (for your use only) is very special with a wonderful view, and the garden is large and private with patio and furniture. The countryside surrounding the cottage is perfect for walking, gently rolling farmland; there is a little restaurant up the road (open a few days per week) in the village, and it's close to market towns and pretty villages including Eymet, Issigeac, Lauzun, Monflaquin, and Monpazier. Handily, there is a huge Intermarche Hyper at Creysse near Bergerac on the way down if you're driving from the UK! It's a fantastic base for exploring Lot & Garonne and further afield. A real gem and a credit to Trevor and Penny.
Lovely Stay in a beautiful part of the world
By TW on 30-Aug-2025Had a fabulous relaxing stay with really enjoyed the private pool and plenty of pace in the garden in a very quiet location. Air Con was great on the warmer days. Cottage very clean & agree with previous review really good quality linen. Ideal location for visiting lots of lovely villages with traditional restaurants.
Wonderful relaxing place to stay

This is a quiet, relaxing place with lively gardens and pool surrounded by beautiful views, comfortable beds and the best night skies I’ve seen for a long time as no light pollution. Go to the market in Issigeac, Eymet is also lovely as is Monpazier. Thank you to Trevor and Penny you are great hosts.
R&R and family time

From start to finish everything was perfect, from initial enquiries, booking, to arrival and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble - they were wonderful hosts. We are a family of 5 and had everything we could possibly need and some lovely games to keep children entertained. The pool is the highlight, very private. We had a hot week a few days of 40+ bed rooms are air conditioned which we were very grateful for. This was our 3rd visit to this particular part of France and found the location of the cottage perfect. Remote enough for a peaceful holiday but within 20 minutes of rivers / lakes / day and night markets. We would definitely return!
Wonderful place
By Mandy on 12-Jul-2025If you want a relaxing stress free holiday then this is the place for you. The gite is surrounded by beautiful countryside and many enchanting villages. Penny & Trevor are the perfect hosts, unobtrusive but there if you need them. Having a pool to yourself is such a treat . We loved our stay and hope to be back again one day.
