Amazing Amy!
By RJL on 28-May-2026We have just come back from a relaxing long weekend at Puffin Lodge at Retallack resort arranged by Amy at Queenwood Holidays. We had previously booked accommodation with Away Resorts, some 7 months earlier, but with a week to go to our holiday they advised that our lodge was not going to be available. At that point we contacted Queenwood Holidays and were met with an outstanding "Can Do" attitude from Amy as oppose to "Computer Says no" from Away Resorts. The property was perfect and we were a group of 4 adult couples and there was ample room for everyone. The Lodge had a nice outlook and the back deck was particularly private so it was lovely to relax in of an evening or early morning in between exploring all that the local area has to offer. If visiting this part of Cornwall again in the future we would only book with Queenwood Holidays and cannot recommend them highly enough. Amy and her business made a refreshing change from all the corporate nonsense you get from larger impersonal travel companies.
Skylark 19, Beautiful property and location
By Adam Davies on 25-Apr-2025Skylark 19, Beautiful property and location Skylark is in a great location on Retallack resort, nice out look over a large pond and not overlooked like many other properties on the site, easy walking distance to all amenities. The property is very spacious inside and good out door area with hot tub. Pool table is a nice touch for kids. Having a bathroom and bedrooms on both floors makes it ideal for two families. The property is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery ect ... Retallack is also in a great spot to explore lots of Cornwall, with many beaches and towns with in an easy 30 minute drive.
5* Holiday in a beautiful lodge

She dealt with issues quickly, her team too were all polite and friendly and did all they could to help us. The lodge itself was well appointed, everything worked well, and we had an amazing week and even wanted to stay on longer. Couldn't rate it more highly and will definitely be going back in the summer.
Gorgeous Property and Location, Great Value.
By Mrs Bill on 18-Oct-2025My family and I spent a week in skylark at the Ratallack resort. We had a fabulous time. The skylark lodge was superb. Clean, fresh, spacious with so many household items, we didn’t need anything other than food and drink. The hot tub was a welcome treat and this property is one of the few that’s not overlooked and has a great outlook onto a pond. I felt this was the best lodge location on the site. Amy, the owner was so helpful and kind before, during and after our stay. This made our holiday even more relaxing and I would recommend queenwood holidays to anyone.
Fully recommended and we would definitely come back.
By Simon on 15-May-2021We stayed at Amy's lodge last week on a short stay-cation in Cornwall. The villa/lodge is lovely - more spacious than the photos show. Very clean, a lovely welcome hamper on arrival, towels and dressing gowns provided was a very nice touch. Comfortable beds and lots of sofa lounging areas with nice smart TVs we could synch netflix and Amazon Prime etc. The hot-tub was immaculate and at the perfect temperature when we arrived. Nothing to fault at all, Amy was very communicative and supported. Fully recommended and we would definitely come back.
